La Locanda In Macugnaga

We had lunch at this fantastic place. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the price was very fair. Convenient parking and close to the chairlift. Highly recommended.

VERY GOOD. We ordered different dishes to try as many things as possible. I didn't take pictures of everything because we ate them right away! The homemade cakes were delicious. EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT; the girls serving us were very nice and friendly. Convenient parking near the restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

My home in Macugnaga, in Pecetto to be precise, The Locanda is a super hospitable place. I left crying at the sadness of having to leave. Our experience was wonderful. Our room was number 1, clean and smelling of fresh wood. The bed was super comfortable and warm, and we had a reserved parking space. Marco's mother was a fantastic lady. She shared her personal experiences with medicinal herbs and the history of the glacier, which she sees transform every day. It was wonderful to see her come down every morning with warm croissants ready for all the tourists who wanted breakfast before boarding the chairlift. Her daughter accompanied us throughout our stay in preparing breakfast and enthusiastically directed us to the most beautiful trails in the area. She was very attentive and helpful. The cook is super good, the food is delicious, and he kept us company while we drank a Genepi at the end of our shift, telling us about excursions and refuges we could do during our stay. The waitresses were so sweet and quick, in short. The staff were very welcoming, the food was excellent and you slept like a god, the environment with a family atmosphere made you feel at home even if our house was 10 hours away from there..... We left a part of our heart at the Locanda and at Monte Rosa which with its Himalayan wall wished us good morning every morning, it moved us deeply, we will be back very willingly thanks for the welcome Ale and Fede ❤️

We've been to this restaurant twice, with multiple guests. We had dinner both times and the food was excellent. Highly recommended. If you're in Macugnaga, you can't miss this place.

We arrived around 4 pm with a light appetite and the desire for an aperitif. They offered and brought us an excellent mixed platter. Truly delicious cured meats and cheeses. Delicious bread. The staff was exceptionally courteous and friendly. Highly recommended.

A great place to take souvenir photos. I tried new Italian dishes like corn porridge with meat. The place is worth a visit.

We ate very well. The initial cheese selection was excellent and refined, and even the glass of white wine was tastefully chosen. I also really liked the wood paneling used on the walls. Very, very beautiful. We will definitely be back.

Very pleasant weekend in Macugnaga…at the Locanda we had a great time: welcoming environment, comfortable and clean rooms, very helpful staff. Rich breakfast. Dinner with typical dishes and quality products. Awesome view, in front of the ski lifts 😍. Unique experience that I recommend 🔝👏

I'm reviewing the restaurant, I haven't tried the rooms. Great food, as always. I always find it a little difficult to give up polenta and carpetlucco to try the various other excellent dishes. Good wine and beer. Also convenient for a warm breakfast, while perhaps the children have a ski lesson, given that it is located opposite the chairlift departure point and next to the ski school meeting point.
