La Lanterna di Spiazzi In Caprino veronese

I went in to eat a strudel...but taking a look at the dishes on the tables it was easy to be seduced. I ate delicious tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and dumplings with melted butter which needed no introduction other than the kindness of the owner.

We went for lunch today with my family, very welcoming place and staff. Excellent food, homemade dumplings, homemade tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and bigoli with wild boar. As a second pork shank with fried potatoes and polenta with wild boar, everything really delicious, we will definitely return, a place to recommend.

I had the opportunity to spend a relaxing Sunday lunch in this mountain location but with a spectacular view of Lake Garda. Attentive and kind service and excellent value for money! I'll be back

My girlfriend and I were there for lunch yesterday, everything was excellent... superlative homemade dumplings, very good wild boar with polenta. Not to mention the desserts, homemade strudel and vanilla ice cream with warm berries. Well what can I say we will definitely be back.

Delicious food, this is already the second time we have come, the waiters are always very courteous even though the restaurant is full of people and we understand the possible tiredness, the menu of the day created by the chef is recommended, we ate ravioli with braised Amarone which were sublime , the shank with baked potatoes was so well cooked that the meat melted as soon as you put a bite in your mouth. Recommended are the bigoli with wild boar, the wild boar with polenta and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, all fresh seasonal ingredients that are cooked with love. We don't understand the negative reviews of this period, we have always had a good time, when a restaurant feels like home it deserves to go there often and that it is successful.

We arrived at Barracuda and on the door we asked the waiter if we could seat on the table that we indicate to him, he said: yes of corse. When we seated another waiter passed and said very laud: you can’t seat there, if it would be booked you couldn’t, but now is too late in a very rude Tom and aggressive. Me and my husband was in shock wondering if we did something wrong and the first waiter came to apologise his friend and say of corse we could keep seated there. The rest of the experience was very positive with the polite waiter. I ate the homemade Lanterna burguer wich was fabulous, really really tasty, fresh meat very good.

Delicious restaurant, each of the dishes we had was fantastic, the desserts were amazing, we were very well hosted, we should come back to such places!

We found this restaurant while in the area visiting a famous church in the rock nearby (Madonna della Corona). A couple of restaurants had menus outside but the kitchen was closed when we enquired about eating. We were attracted to La Lanterna restaurant by the tables on the terrace outside, shaded umbrellas a pleasant respite from the summer heat and with a beautiful view. The menu includes a selection of starters, pasta, meat and veg dishes and pizzas too. I opted for canederli, dumplings typical of South Tyrol but often found in restaurant menus in this part of Italy too. My partner ordered pizza and while my dish came after a short wait we were told that we had to wait a little longer for the pizza as they explained the first one was burned and they would make it again. Unfortunately the second pizza also arrived quite burned and dry but at that point we couldn't wait any longer. Throughout the rest of the meal the waiters came to the table to apologise profusely for the mishap and offered free coffee if we decided to have coffee at the end; we opted for limoncello instead and settled the bill. Given the location and the service prices are very reasonable and the food (at least what we ordered) is tasty and enough for lunch with a view. I think although sometimes mistakes do happen it's what you do about that make the difference and in this case we would like to praise the staff for their attentiveness to the customers and we wouldn't hesitate to go back if we were in the area.
