I hadn't been there for many years and had fond memories of it, but the reality was even better: everything was delicious: marinated anchovies, scapece-style courgettes, tuna panzanella, lentil soup, rabbit, and finally the legendary chocolate salami. The house Montepulciano di Ponza wine was delicious, everything was perfect, the service was perfect, and the bill was 55 euros per person.

We chose this restaurant almost skeptically, because it was on the main street, and we thought it would be a tourist restaurant. We changed our minds. We went inside. The atmosphere is familiar, a bit retro, both in the floors and the furnishings, but pleasant. Clean and tidy. The waiters were friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered marinated anchovies, a bit dry but meaty. They were good. Homemade gnocchi with squid and pecorino cheese. A well-made and flavorful dish. Fried calamari. Not greasy and well-fried. A glass of Pecorino Terre d'Abruzzo white wine. Two mineral waters. We spent 71 euros. Average for Ponza. Recommended!

Abbiamo passato una bellissima serata nel cuore di Ponza. La location è davvero suggestiva: all'esterno ci sono tavoli situati sul corso principale, dove si respira l’aria di mare e si osservano i turisti passeggiare; all’interno, invece, c'è una saletta accogliente e tranquilla, perfetta per chi cerca un po’ di intimità. Noi abbiamo scelto di accomodarci all’interno e siamo stati benissimo.
Il servizio è stato impeccabile: i camerieri sono stati sempre gentili, presenti e pronti a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. Abbiamo iniziato con un ottimo vino e un souté di cozze semplicemente delizioso. Le cozze erano freschissime e morbidissime, immerse in un sughetto che racchiudeva tutto il sapore del mare. I primi piatti erano entrambi squisiti e delicati, ma il secondo è stato davvero sorprendente: non avevamo mai mangiato un pesce così buono! Per concludere, abbiamo finalmente trovato un tiramisù all’altezza del suo nome, accompagnato da un gustoso salame al cioccolato.
La serata si è conclusa con una lunga e piacevole chiacchierata con Silverio, il proprietario, un ragazzo gentilissimo e molto disponibile, che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più speciale. Consiglio a tutti di provare questo ristorante. Qualità, atmosfera e accoglienza sono davvero di altissimo livello. Ci tornerei già stasera!
