We chose this restaurant almost skeptically, because it was on the main street, and we thought it would be a tourist restaurant. We changed our minds. We went inside. The atmosphere is familiar, a bit retro, both in the floors and the furnishings, but pleasant. Clean and tidy. The waiters were friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered marinated anchovies, a bit dry but meaty. They were good. Homemade gnocchi with squid and pecorino cheese. A well-made and flavorful dish. Fried calamari. Not greasy and well-fried. A glass of Pecorino Terre d'Abruzzo white wine. Two mineral waters. We spent 71 euros. Average for Ponza. Recommended!

The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff and owner were friendly and attentive. The only complaint: the shrimp tartare portion was too small.

Experience… meh. We had high expectations for this place, which was recommended to us for good food in Ponza. However, several negative aspects caught our eye: > The place was very chaotic, understandable given that it's one of the most popular, but the closely spaced tables and frenetic staff didn't make our dinner very enjoyable; > I'm not particularly concerned about the food. The fish balls were excellent, and the spider crab string was definitely good. The tuna fillet I ordered, however, was very bland; > The wait time issue: the interval between the appetizer (which arrived promptly) and the main course (almost an hour later) was too long; > I don't want to argue about the organization, because they're professionals and it shows. But shouting from the rooftops that you've "lost your orders" in the middle of the dining room, so that the entire restaurant can hear you, doesn't make you look good. Overall, the experience wasn't particularly positive or negative; there are certainly several aspects that could be improved.

Abbiamo passato una bellissima serata nel cuore di Ponza. La location è davvero suggestiva: all'esterno ci sono tavoli situati sul corso principale, dove si respira l’aria di mare e si osservano i turisti passeggiare; all’interno, invece, c'è una saletta accogliente e tranquilla, perfetta per chi cerca un po’ di intimità. Noi abbiamo scelto di accomodarci all’interno e siamo stati benissimo. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: i camerieri sono stati sempre gentili, presenti e pronti a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. Abbiamo iniziato con un ottimo vino e un souté di cozze semplicemente delizioso. Le cozze erano freschissime e morbidissime, immerse in un sughetto che racchiudeva tutto il sapore del mare. I primi piatti erano entrambi squisiti e delicati, ma il secondo è stato davvero sorprendente: non avevamo mai mangiato un pesce così buono! Per concludere, abbiamo finalmente trovato un tiramisù all’altezza del suo nome, accompagnato da un gustoso salame al cioccolato. La serata si è conclusa con una lunga e piacevole chiacchierata con Silverio, il proprietario, un ragazzo gentilissimo e molto disponibile, che ha reso l’esperienza ancora più speciale. Consiglio a tutti di provare questo ristorante. Qualità, atmosfera e accoglienza sono davvero di altissimo livello. Ci tornerei già stasera!

Ho avuto il piacere di trascorrere tre meravigliosi giorni a Ponza con amici universitari per un progetto organizzato dal nostro CUS Tor Vergata. Tre giorni indimenticabili, forse quasi esclusivamente per l’amore e la passione che ci ha conquistato grazie ai piatti di Silverio e del suo affabile staff. Cinque pasti tra pranzi e cene, in cui Silverio ci ha stupito con ricciole, sugaretti e dentici di una freschezza rara: scintille per le papille gustative! Le porzioni erano giuste e la presentazione dei piatti così invitante da sentirci quasi in dovere di scarpettare ogni boccone. Ci siamo sentiti a CASA, e questo dice tutto sulla simpatia e gentilezza che contraddistingue il personale della Lanterna. Si percepisce chiaramente la storia e la tradizione del ristorante, che di generazione in generazione porta avanti qualcosa di speciale, capace di far sorridere chi ama il buon cibo: tutto ciò che un grande ristorante dovrebbe saper fare!
