La Lanterna In Vitorchiano

We booked during the #PeperinoinFiore2025 party and ate in their garden, which enjoys a beautiful view of the walls of Vitorchiano that blend in with houses and peperino. The environment, the quality of the food served and the helpfulness and kindness of your staff did the rest. Our choice included pappardelle, characteristic cavatelli, excellent free-range chicken as well as desserts. Average quality/price. They have provisions for celiacs. They accept dogs. Correct to book.

The restaurant is very nice, we had lunch in the garden in the shade of the umbrellas, it's very nice. Even in case of light rain the umbrellas offer excellent shelter without having to go to the internal room. The food is good especially the bread they make, it's a real drug, with the platter of cold cuts it's an excellent combination. Even the pappardelle with wild boar were a good choice, both the workmanship and the cooking of the pasta were perfect, not to mention the taste of the sauce obviously cleaned with bread. The garden is inhabited by some very sociable and non-invasive cats, but they frame the garden. The only flaw found: half of the lunch menu is not available, the pizza and fried food part cannot be ordered, without any written notice on the menu or on delivery of the same, you only find out when you order from the waiter, which is not nice because you choose and maybe your mouth waters for something and then it is not orderable, so you have to fall back on something else on the fly.

Welcoming, warm environment, kind, professional staff, with an alternative solution when needed. Good wines and good food. On some dishes, I would have appreciated a pinch less salt.

We went to this restaurant on Monday 7 April for dinner. The place is very nice... the service is good... the food tasted good. We took lamb meatballs, battered artichokes, roasted rabbit, grilled lamb, water and beer. All good. Advised.

We spent the weekend having dinner there both Saturday and Sunday. I recommend it 100%. The service was 10, the food was 10. Everything they recommended to us was of quality. The place has views of the beautiful town.
