The village where the restaurant is located is very nice but unfortunately the meat of the peposo was tough and the tagliata was thin. Small portions for the cost. The first courses are better, even the appetizers are a bit small. When paying the bill, they go a lot for excess in rounding the cents.

Beautiful location in Chianti, absolutely a place to visit. The very nice restaurant, good service but I found it excessively expensive both for the portions and for the typically unimaginative Tuscan menu.

5 generazioni di sapienza culinaria ed accoglienza. Portate tipiche locali ricche di gusto ed equilibrio, servite con simpatia dal padrone di casa Davide che con un sorriso disarmante racconta della storia secolare della sua attività. Gli ambienti caldi e coinvolgenti trasudano di esperienze per non parlare della cantina di grande spessore con alcune chicche davvero notevoli.

18/05/2025: Excellent family-run trattoria, traditional Tuscan dishes, three generations of the family take turns between the kitchen and the dining room, the historic restaurant is located in the town square. Highly recommended.
15/05/2025: Restaurant located in the center of the village of Castellina in Chianti. We stopped on a Sunday for lunch, the place was crowded but despite this the service was fast. We ate some delicious tagliolini with truffle, absolutely worth trying!
