We made the relatively steep 3 km walk from Fontana, which is about one hour, to reach to restaurant at the top of Monte Epomeo and its amazing panoramic views of the island. Sitting at a table on the front terrace, we had the Spaghetti Epomeo, omelette con coppa and insalata pomodori con cipolla, which were all excellent. The owner guided us to another extraordinary view through the back of the restaurant and was kind to share the story of his grandfather travelling up the mountain by donkey and carving out the rock face, where the family-owned restaurant sits today.

Historic restaurant on top of Mount Epomeo.
We ate the typical dish of the island, rabbit Ischitana style, prepared according to tradition and masterfully.
All food is truly 0 km, as it comes directly from the lands of Mount Epomeo. Having lunch with this view is priceless, as are the kindness and the chats at the end of the meal with the owners. THANK YOU!

A wonderful place. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the delicious, fresh food is simply stunning with such a view. It's understandable that it costs more than elsewhere, as it has to be brought up the mountain first. The homemade Finochietto liqueur is so delicious! Be sure to visit the restaurant from the inside and admire the historic photos. Feel free to ask for the second viewpoint. Enjoy!

Great place! A little work to get there, but well worth it! We parked down the road near a place called Miscillo Sapori and then hiked for about 20 min. The food was very good and the portions were generous. Definitely would recommend and highly suggest to reserve a table if you are planning to have a dinner in the evening. The website has a few numbers to message/call. Google provided hours are wrong and the place was open until 9pm on the day of the review.

Super moment après une randonnée très sympathique et vraiment très belle.
Super panorama.
Le restaurant est une belle surprise et après tant d'effort on est ravi de goûter aux bruschettas et frites maison.
Possibilité de plats cuisinés (ragoût de lapin spécialité de l'île) et une liqueur maison.
Vu la tête des convives,je crois que tout est bon.
Service simple mais attentif et très pro.
