After a beautiful climb from Fontana, we headed straight to the summit via the left flank, completely alone and without tourists 😉

Lovely family run restaurant on top of a mountain only accesable on foot. No you cant bike there (yes we tried), you have to leave your bikes aprox 1 km down the path.
The food and price were good but the view breathtaking.

After a half-hour walk with suitable footwear, you reach the top of Epomeo... Just when you think you can't take it anymore... Here's a real view of the restaurant.
Very characteristic.
A beautiful view from above!
By crossing the restaurant, you can reach the other side of the mountain, where you can admire the crack in the rock made by the earthquake many years ago that destroyed Casamicciola.
Not to be missed!
A couple more minutes' walk brings you to the museum. A must-see.
Very friendly staff, excellent service! We had a lovely breakfast.
Prices are reasonable.

The food was so good and the view amazing (although it was a little bit cloudy). Unfortunately we won't remember these positive things: There was a beagle, who doesn't belong to this restaurant and he looked very sick, he kept harassing our dog (jumping on him, licking him) and we couldn't keep him away. As we were concerned about our dogs health, we were glad, that at some point the owners of he restaurant lead him away. But apparently this dog comes there every day looking for food. We wouldn't go back while having a dog with us.

Amazing views, tasty food, and very friendly staff compared to other experiences we’ve had on the Island - it is 100% worth the 20 minute walk up, but definitely wear some sturdy shoes! The food was all fresh and they make the best bruschetta that we found on the island. I’d also recommend the spaghetti al pomodoro (tomato spaghetti) - it’s a big portion, delicious, and affordable at only €12. We had 2 starters and shared only 1 main course - even though we both have big appetites. There’s also a very friendly elderly dog who walks about the terrace (he doesn’t come close unless encouraged so no need to worry if you’re scared of dogs). Highly recommended this place!!

Servizio gentilissimo e il mangiare squisito. Noi abbiamo apprezzato molto il coniglio e le buonissime patate fritte fatte a casa, Anche la grigliata e’ molto abbondante con carne di qualita’ e le bruschette super. Da notare anche la lista birre speciali.
La salita vale la pena solo per il ristorante
Speriamo di tornare presto!
