La Grotta da Fiore In Serrara fontana

I am from Ischia and I eat in this place since ages! Is always amazing to be here! Great atmosphere, incredible food, and a view of 360 degree of the island and the iconic Aragonese Castle! Worth the trekking if you want to be there for lunch or even better for sunset! But for an evening dinner is always better to book in advance! Definitely a MUST do experience if you are in Ischia.

I had lunch with my family at this lovely restaurant. The view is breathtaking; you're at the top of Mount Epomeo. We arrived on a day when the Hermitage of San Nicola museum and the church were closed, but the restaurant owners were kind enough to let us visit these two enchanting places anyway. We ate divinely: penne and bucatini with rabbit sauce and rabbit Ischia-style, tomato salad, fried eggs with coppa, and French fries (amazing), all accompanied by a local wine expertly recommended by the owners. They offered us a delicious fennel liqueur and sweet fritters with zucchini flowers. When we return to Ischia (because we will), we will definitely stop at this excellent restaurant. Great place! A little work to get there, but well worth it! We parked down the road near a place called Miscillo Sapori and then hiked for about 20 min. The food was exceptionally good, and the portions were generous. I would recommend the place and highly suggest reserving a table if you are planning to have dinner. The website has a few numbers to message/call. Google provided hours are wrong and the place was open until 9pm on the day of the review.

We had a wonderful lunch at Ristorante La Grotta da Fiore. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. Every dish was delicious, and we especially appreciated the explanation about the rabbit and how it was prepared—it’s clear they take real pride in their cooking. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The waiters and owners were genuinely friendly and attentive. You can tell they truly care about the service—they don’t just bring food to the table, they make sure you enjoy the full experience. To top it all off, they surprised us with a big bag of fresh basil and some chillis to take home! 🤩 Such a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic food, kind people, and a memorable dining experience.

Exceptional Hunter Rabbit Homemade Potato

Amazing view, delicious+affordable coffee and food. Good way to award yourself after the hike up Mount Epomeo. The owner was very nice and stopped us when we were about to leave to the highest point. She showed us a nice viewing place behind the restaurant, good for photos.

Super moment après une randonnée très sympathique et vraiment très belle. Super panorama. Le restaurant est une belle surprise et après tant d'effort on est ravi de goûter aux bruschettas et frites maison. Possibilité de plats cuisinés (ragoût de lapin spécialité de l'île) et une liqueur maison. Vu la tête des convives,je crois que tout est bon. Service simple mais attentif et très pro. Super endroit
