La Gratella In Perugia

A very simple restaurant with a slightly dated look in its furnishings, but perhaps for this reason it is pleasant. The dishes are well made, especially the homemade gnocchi. Average prices and very friendly service. The only flaw is the location on a main road and not very visible.

I have been to this welcoming place for dinner several times, the food is always excellent and healthy: from starters to desserts, made by the owner Roberto who, with his personality and kindness, makes you have a pleasant evening or lunch. The strong point of this place is the quality-price ratio: more than fair prices for typical local dishes. A real trattoria as per definition! Super recommended.

Historic place... prices a little high though..

My girlfriend and I were looking for a restaurant to have dinner in Perugia during the Bridge of the Dead, but all were full. The very nice owner of a souvenir shop then recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to try it. The place is very nice, even if rather "simple" (it is not the classic place that can be found in Perugia with bricks, arches and the like); the owner was really kind and friendly and, even though he was alone in the room that evening, he tried not to make us wait too long. The food was delicious (the bruschetta is absolutely recommended, especially the tomato one) and the prices were absolutely honest. Very happy to have followed the advice of our shopkeeper friend!
