La Grande Muraglia In Catania

One of Catania's historic Chinese restaurants, now in its second generation, has lost the appeal its parents once gave it, but it's still a point of reference for international ethnic dining. Under new management, the appeal isn't the same, although the staff's courtesy is admirable. They still haven't figured out how to time the courses. In my case, my first course and my guest's second course arrived at the same time, and the guest's first course arrived shortly after. We had a bit of a wait for my second course, which might have been reasonable if the other course hadn't gone cold in the meantime.

We've been there three times, everything is fresh, and the service is very friendly. The place is off the beaten track, but it doesn't look anything special. Large portions, and the agropicante soup is excellent. I recommend it.

I recommend the grilled spaghetti, the sweet and sour chicken and the almond chicken.
