La Giostra In Cervia

We discovered this restaurant thanks to a promotion and haven't left! Beautiful in spring/summer, relaxing, and with an innovative menu. Friendly and professional staff! I recommend it!

To celebrate my partner's birthday, I took her to the Giostra restaurant in Cervia. Excellent service, top-quality food and well-crafted products, well-prepared dishes, fair value for money for what you get. Highly recommended. We'll be back with friends as soon as possible.

This is our third time back and it's a sure thing. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere is always top-notch! Well done!

Virtually immersed between the Cervia salt pans and a somewhat marshy area, the place is quite dispersive, with outdoor tables at least 100 meters from the kitchen, which explains why half the dishes on the menu are cold or raw... I wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it, and I don't think I'll return, but that's just my personal opinion.

The location is beautiful, well presented, and the evening is a very pleasant one. The waiters are all very kind and knowledgeable, and the menu offers some wonderful options. However, although we found the appetizer truly excellent in terms of flavors and original choices, and the risotto was good, we found the grilled or pan-fried fish in the off-menu dish to be very dry and very "ordinary" in flavor, despite the offerings and the price of each dish. The prices are quite high, even the cover charge (€3). We can't say we woke up feeling hungry, but for three of us, sharing an appetizer, a main course each, a dessert, water, and two glasses of wine, we spent €45 each. Overall, we had a good time, but for that kind of expense, we would have expected much, much more! If not in the portions (which were small!), at least in the refinement of the dish or in the thoughtful combinations, cooking methods, dressings, and side dishes. If when you leave three out of three people say “that’s fine, but I wouldn’t go back,” I might think about it for a moment.

Reservation accepted late in the evening, we were greeted by extremely friendly and helpful staff. The food was truly delicious and excellent value. Many compliments.

Special mention to the waiters, who were very, very kind and attentive! We went for aperitivo time, a 2-for-1 deal with a spritz or beer overlooking the salt flats with a sunset view. We then continued our dinner outside in another wing, with a carousel of appetizers, plus shrimp and tuna tartare and fried fish to share. Everything was delicious, and I repeat, special mention to the service.

Excellent restaurant, perhaps one of the best in Ravenna for its consistently top-quality ingredients. The outdoor area has a great atmosphere.
