La Giara In Calenzano

It's not the first time I've come here and it won't be the last. We are at the pizzeria of the Casa del Popolo in Calenzano; as you can imagine, the environment (a single large room with an open kitchen and oven) is rather spartan, crowded and a little noisy. On weekends it is absolutely recommended to book if you want to be sure of finding a place. The fact that it is full is already a good indication. For dinner on Friday for three couples: 1 potato gnocchi with seafood sauce (abundant, rich in fish and very good), 5 pizzas and 1 covaccino (good and well-leavened dough, medium to thin, well seasoned and perfectly cooked) ; 2 desserts (abundant and impeccable millefeuille), 4 small beers (the highway code also applies in pizzerias) and two bottles of water. Too bad they don't have coffee. The cost? We stayed under €25 per couple.

Starters with coccoli, raw ham, stracchino and crostini, first course with exceptional scorpion fish ragout, good white and rose wine and truly quality desserts The price was truly negligible, congratulations Also to the Staff
