La Giara In Amantea

Simple but tasty and abundant dishes. Cozy place, we had dinner in the garden al fresco. We enjoyed linguine with clams, linguine with seafood, pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, mixed grilled meat and two portions of chips. Honest prices. We will return before leaving to try the fried prawns and calamari which was very inviting

Excellent restaurant! Substantial and good dishes for ridiculous prices... We will come back :)

Nothing special, it was the worst we ate in 4 days in Amantea. Scaloppina sailing in melted oil/butter. Dirty plastic tables and chairs...wouldn't go back.

Locale molto casareccio a prima impressione se non consigliato da un amico non sarei mai entrato neanche per una bottiglia d acqua. Invece mi sono dovuto ricredere sulla bontà della cucina, ottima qualità , porzioni abbondanti e qualità dei prodotti. Consigliato a tutti coloro che passano da Amantea. In un mese sono stato 6 volte in questa pizzeria che anche come ristorante ha tanto da dare. Consiglio ai proprietari di ristrutturare un po’ la location xche molto trasandata

Excellent place for a typical Calabrese meal

We took a mixed fry to share and 4 menus for €12 (only available for lunch). The mixed fry (prawns and calamari) is good. The first with mussels is phenomenal. The cutlet is slightly overcooked according to our tastes which makes it less soft. The steak is nothing short of perfect. The only flaw: the place is not air conditioned. We suffered a bit from the heat and I think it could be a deterrent for a possible return. I might suggest a portable air conditioner that (with doors and windows closed) can cool the room. For the rest the food is worth it.

Sono tornato in questo locale dopo più di 10 anni. La gestione è cambiata ma la qualità è rimasta. Pietanze semplici e preparate in modo casalingo . Abbiamo preso due meno turistici a poco più di 10 € uno a base di carne e uno di pesce. Tutto buono, i gestori di Firenze sono bravissime persone e ti fanno sentire a casa. Ci torneremo sicuramente

The pizza with crunchy dough is good and well seasoned. We're waiting a while but I will definitely be back. Adequate prices

Excellent family-run restaurant... Delicious and tasty dishes, I especially recommend spaghetti with clams, spaghetti with seafood, linguine alla tarantina, milanese and the pizzas are also excellent, especially the tuna and onion pizza and the Totò. Very nice owners and serious and competent staff. Excellent quality/price ratio. I recommend and will definitely return

Good food and nice staff. But a lot of flies in the outdoor seating lowered the rating.
