We had a wine and food tasting here. Peter looked after us. It was fantastic and Peter really knows his stuff. The wines were great and the food outstanding. We stayed to have some more we enjoyed it so much. One of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time.

Top experience! From the elegant location, to the exquisitely kind and helpful staff, to the fabulous dishes that made us feel unforgettable. Special praise goes to Pierdomenico, who pampered us with meticulously recommended tastings of an unconventional menu, showcasing local delicacies cooked with a twist. Kudos also to the chef and owner, who have created a winning team. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon it while wandering around, drawn by the name and logo... What a pleasant surprise!! Simple dishes, clear and linear pairings... What spectacular flavors!! We'll remember the tuna sushimi with caramelized orange apple. And the cod, simply boiled, but accompanied by a sweet and sour sauce so good it made me smile ☺️!! Extensive wine list, very kind staff, and... Well done, very well done!! (The cruschi peppers are "out of the area," but that's the only photo I have!)

A highly recommended place, quite accessible. We ate on the outdoor terrace in the summer, and honestly, it was appreciated. The waiter helped us choose, in our language, and it was a perfect dinner.

Seit 7 Jahren haben wir mehrmals das Restaurant besucht - immer ein pures Vergnügen und eine Küche, die höchster Perfektion entspricht! "La Pigniata Brasato di agnello" war so fantastisch, dass wir es gleich nochmals bestellt haben. "Spaghettone selezione gentile ai Frutti di mare" und "Baccalà" waren aussergewöhnlich. Wenn man einen gelungenen Abend mit unglaublichem lokalem Essen mit einem innovativen Touch haben möchte, kann man hier nicht richtig genug sein - wir kommen wieder!

Siamo stati ad inizio maggio per cen. Bello il ristorante, proprio al centro e ottime le materie prime oltre che il servizio. Abbiamo mangiato piatti della tradizione di matera ma con quel pizzico di innovazione che stimola la curiosità. Lo consiglio sicuramente!

02/11/2025: Family dinner (6 people) on a Saturday evening. The service was prompt and accurate despite the room being full. The dishes were typical of Lucanian cuisine and absolutely impeccable. The price was average. The location is quaint and clean, inside the baronial castle. Highly recommended!

05/11/2025: Like everything in Matera, the best thing about it is the atmosphere, which is fantastic. The locally sourced beef was cooked to perfection and tasted good, but it was quite fibrous. The selection of meats and cheeses is worthwhile. The sausage with potatoes is a kind of chorizo ​​criollo, but with an anise-flavored spice that overpowers the meat's flavor. The formaggie cheese was very good. As I said, the best thing about it all was the atmosphere.
02/11/2025: A pleasant lunch break at Osteria L’Arco. We opted for a simple meal of pasta. The “Troccoli con baccalà alla materana,” a regional specialty, was particularly enjoyable. Troccoli, typical of Puglia, are thick, slightly square pasta, perfect for holding sauce. Here, they were served with flavorful baccalà and a rich, tangy sauce. The service was attentive and the setting charming, especially on the terrace overlooking the narrow streets of Matera.
