Courtesy, a relaxing atmosphere, and smiles. I felt pampered by the professional way in which they listened to my dietary preferences and offered me personalized choices. The octopus and spaghetti with mussels were excellent, and overall the dishes were all refined and well-balanced. Wide selection of wines.

Three friends in Matera...even though it was well past lunchtime, our accidental choice turned out to be a winning one. Excellent welcome, kindness, a very refined atmosphere, refined cuisine that showcases local products. And finally...the owners were very helpful in satisfying our curiosity...excellent.

Excellent dinner in a bright, clean restaurant in the historic center of Matera. Local cuisine with a modern twist. I loved the crispy and flavorful double-cooked artichoke, and the tempura cod with a foamy sauce flavored with lemon and basil. The eggplant pictured was beautiful and delicious. The desserts were delicious, especially the cannoli. All washed down with a Matera Riesling. Impeccable service with detailed explanations of the dishes. Highly recommended.

Maybe it doesn't look like much from the outside, or maybe you can't tell, but once inside, I was particularly impressed.
Minimalist location, excellent service (Pier).
Selected and revisited products, while still maintaining a local feel but without overdoing it, balanced and tasty dishes.
Excellent wine list... And above all, incredible hospitality.

I stopped for an aperitif/Aglianico tasting at this splendid venue.
The venue is stunning, carved into the rock, and the staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable.
I enjoyed a guided tasting of two types of Aglianico del Vulture, accompanied by excellent presentations and explanations of the two products. The wine list is very well-stocked and extensive.
The small pairing offered with the two glasses was excellent, making the two tastings even more enjoyable.
I didn't try dinner, but I'll definitely want to return next time I visit Matera to try their cuisine.
