Avoiding the weekend crowds, this turned out to be a very pleasant, well-kept and refined place with jazz music in the background, discreet and excellent service in a wonderful natural setting... a small wonder.

We stopped for lunch after a hike to the Battisti refuge along the "Sentiero dei Grandi Alberi" (Big Trees Trail) on a Sunday in mid-February. A rustic restaurant, very crowded on weekends but still with plenty of seating. I had an appetizer of polenta, cheese, and mushrooms, followed by a typical local first course, gnocchi with fioretta (a type of ham), all washed down with red wine. Finally, a slice of jam tart. Simple dishes, as befits a mountain restaurant, but decidedly delicious! Prices were reasonable and average.

Hi everyone, I recently ate one of their seasonal specialties: boiled meat, rich in homemade sauces. I must say it's been years since I've tasted such a well-made dish. The chef's professionalism and unforgettable flavor are evident. They also recommended the pork cheek, and I'll definitely be back to try other dishes. Finally, the desserts are also outstanding. All of this is served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff exudes a sense of familiarity and expertise. See you next time, and above all, thank you for a wonderful evening!

I've been going there for years....having my house nearby....today I'm sorry but the environment is cold...not very pleasant to eat in the cold....the food is good.....and the waiters are kind!!!

La Gabiola is a historic, welcoming, and scenic spot. Menus always embrace tradition and quality. The ingredients (from the fioretta for the gnocchi to the meat sauces) are well-crafted, and the quantity is satisfying. The food is excellent, with a perfect quality/price ratio! Bravo!

It's not much from the outside... but once inside, the warmth of the stoves and the decor transport you to a fairytale mountain place... the service and quality are superb🤤, from the tripe to the gnocchi alla fioretta and the delicious homemade cakes.
Excellent value for money.
Well done, we'll definitely be back.
