Very good. We were greeted warmly, even without a reservation, and found a table right away, even though the place was packed.

A typical Roman spot, the food was very good, the pasta was excellent. We ordered Bolognese and it was delicious, and the tiramisu was great too. It's worth going; if you can make a reservation, even better. It's a bit far from the center, but it's only 8 minutes from the Vatican.

A very, very cute little place... Especially the downstairs area... welcoming, familiar, and beautifully presented. Very kind and attentive staff. Excellent carbonara... perfectly cooked and creamy. Flavorful lamb and delicious baked potatoes. Generous portions. Highly recommended.

02/01/2026: We were the only lucky ones to eat lunch on January 2nd. The owner was exceptional, we chatted with him, and he welcomed our baby with open arms. Home cooking, you feel right at home, everything was perfect!

14/01/2026: Four days in Rome, traveling with a child with celiac disease, and our experience at Mercato Hostaria was good, not the best, but good. Its location in Campo de' Fiori is excellent. We ate on the terrace, which was well-heated. The food was very good, but I must point out that the child's carbonara pizza was quite salty (in my opinion, guanciale is overrated, as it adds a lot of salt, especially when baked). The restaurant staff noticed the situation, seeing that the child couldn't eat it, and naturally brought him a delicious complimentary dessert. I appreciate their commitment to serving celiacs, and I highly recommend it. Thank you!
09/01/2026: A spectacular gluten-free meal! It's wonderful to travel and find places like this to enjoy a great dinner! 10/10 ❤️
