La Fortezza is a restaurant located within the walls of the beautiful historic center of Castiglione della Pescaia. The food is of excellent quality, the menu card allows a wide choice of dishes. The staff is professional and kind. I really appreciated the waiter's gesture in bringing a bowl of fresh water to my dog. Highly recommend, good value for money.

Die Qualität des Essens wurde nicht wie versprochen gehalten. Ein Burger mit einer kleinen halben Kartoffel kostet 16€.

Tomas the owner is the soul of the restaurant without a doubt. Welcoming and friendly and certainly shaped the staff too. Good food and great portions. I would absolutely recommend it

The evening in the restaurant was excellent. It was the first time I ate at this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed. On the contrary, the food was great and the service was extremely nice. The interior and exterior were very nice. There were beautiful paintings inside and the sections where you eat were very well divided. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves good but simple food.

Siamo stati in coppia verso la fine si settembre, nonostante le peripezie per raggiungere il posto siamo stati molto contenti di aver cenato presso la Fortezza, lo consigliamo sicuramente!

Went there twice in the last three days. First we got the last available table (without reservation) and received a great seat in the wine cellar which was basically a candle light dinner with perfect privacy. Staff was friendly & helpful and the owner is one cool dude! Food (Fiorentona, Carbonara & Seafood Carbonara) is amazing. 100% recommendation.

Excellent!! Excellent food, great service followed by well-filled plates with delicious food. At the beginning we were given a glass of champagne as an aperitif and then we were accompanied to the table. The menu was in Italian and in English anyway, gluten-free and vegetarian options were also offered. Local in a very nice alley and great atmosphere. Price performance is justified - portions are very large for a multi-course menu! Definitely worth a visit.

Taverna del Vecchio Borgo

25/08/2024: We chose this place on the recommendation of local people to taste the Florentine, with very high expectations which, unfortunately, were only partially satisfied. We had dinner in the small room at the entrance, made up of a few tables and unfortunately not air conditioned (at least the evening we were there), so we suffered a bit from the heat. The service was excellent: the waitress was very attentive and courteous, really compliments! As anticipated, we decided to try the Florentine steak, a cut weighing approximately 1.5 kg. Although the cooking was PERFECT, the meat was very nervous and at times difficult to eat... We probably weren't lucky with the piece. The flavor was still great, a real shame. The starter, side dish and desserts, however, were really good! Very honest prices. I would like to recommend the place.
17/08/2024: Characteristic place. Very varied menu, we had first courses (tortelloni and a truffle first course) and Fiorentina. All very good, attentive and quick service. To be repeated!
