What a wonderful discovery Excellent restaurant within the walls of Castiglione. We didn't have a reservation, but the wait for a table was worth it with the food. The first courses were excellent, but the Fiorentina steak was the best. Cooked to perfection and served at the table. I can only recommend it for a fantastic experience I had a few months ago.

I've been coming here for four years and I give 5 stars to the waiters, 5 stars to the place (which I think is one of the nicest there is), 5 stars to the owner, who I've always had a great experience with. It's a shame I can only give 5 stars and not more. The best restaurant I've ever eaten at, both for the gluten-free option and the classic option. Everything is fresh and excellent.

It's a bit of a climb to get there, but the interior is beautiful. The staff is friendly, the food is good. We ate fish, and the price was fair.

I have been going to Castiglione della Pescaia for 4 years now, and every year, I go to the Fortezza for dinner, they make spectacular crab meat gnocchi, fabulous cod, without excluding the rest of the menu, truly good.

One of the best restaurants on our 3.5-week tour of Italy. Beautiful ambiance in the castle, friendly service, and excellent food, including gluten-free options. There was even a separate gluten-free menu.

21/10/2025: The place is really beautiful. The food prices are not expensive, but the service is poor. We waited almost 20 minutes for the waiter, and the same happened when we asked for the bill. The waiting time for the food was the longest in the region. I ordered Peposo a typical Tuscan dish, but it had too much black pepper. The mashed potatoes were not consistent. I don’t recommend.

18/10/2025: We walked into this small, very authentic restaurant without prior reservation, received a warm welcome, and the menu was kindly translated for us. The food was excellent. The staff was always interested in our well-being! The value for money is excellent! We'll be back!
