Good location to people watch. Great food and drink selection. Nice friendly staff. Clean toilets. We have been here a few times over the years and it has never disappointed.

Well, I must have been to a different restaurant than the one in the last reviews. The waiters must have been tired, and the person who came to take our order must have been having a bad day or a bad life in general. They just about threw our food away. On top of that, the food was all reheated and poorly reheated. Lukewarm at best. A oso bucco that was made three days ago. A sloppily prepared caprese salad. The tomatoes weren't cut into anything other than four portions... Anyway, it's not always a good idea to be swayed by good reviews. I hope this helps someone.

I asked for canneloni and was brought meatballs without being told that it was a complimentary antipasti. This created a misunderstanding that would give this establishment a bad impression. The canneloni that arrived were far from what I've eaten elsewhere, the tomato sauce was very runny, almost watery. Also, what do you do when the price of the beer is for 75cl when I got 62cl? Even if the price is reasonable... I won't be going back.

Absolutely love the food here. We had just gotten back into town from Naples where we had the worst pizza of our lives and La Forchetta d'Oro saved the day. The Bruschetta was amazing and the bread tasted very fresh. I had the gnocchi with pesto and I loved it, my wife had the carbonarra which was also delicious. For dessert we had the Tiramisu, and Panna Cotta. So far the best we have had since coming to Italy. The panna cotta was so smooth with just the right amount of sweetness, and the tiramisu was like eating a fluffy pillow of chocolate and espresso that melted in your mouth. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

Het was een prettige plek om te verblijven Het eten was heerlijk en een toetje kregen wij voor niets om dat het moederdag was. Het eten was een hele goeie lees goedkope prijs

24/04/2025: Scoperto da alcuni consigli online, prenoto per una serata di sabato. Disponibilità al telefono e dal vivo. Impressione buona del locale. Buona la disponibilità dei camerieri. Non male antipasto della casa (anche se di latticini come detto a voce, solo una mozzarellina piccola da dividere in due, nessuna presenza di formaggi). Purtroppo non soddisfacente la carbonara ( non convinceva la cottura dell'uovo e della cremina annessa, passaggio fondamentale per un'ottima carbonara, piatto non facile) e la stessa cacio e pepe troppo tendente alla cremosità che alla lunga disgusta. Non oltre la sufficienza. Prezzi nella norma.
15/01/2025: Inizio col ringraziare l'amico (cliente abituale) che ha deciso di portarmi a cena qui. Devo dire che le aspettative create sono state soddisfatte. Personale gentile, locale affollato, ma poco rumoroso. Cibo saporito, servito in quantità generose: l'antipasto "Totarello" è già di per se un biglietto da visita. Ottimo rapporto con il prezzo. Peccato solo che ero di passaggio...

09/09/2025: Authentic Italian restaurant with high-quality, simply delicious dishes. Friendly and attentive service. Pleasant, quiet, very well-maintained, and welcoming atmosphere. We had delicious grilled calamari and a soft, tender ossobuco with natural tomato sauce. Unlike other restaurants in Rome that were excellent a few years ago and now rip off tourists, Hostaria da Pietro is still very good. I think the secret is that it's located on an ugly, narrow, dead-end street that no one ever comes across, so they either do it very well or they might close down. 100% recommended.
