What a fun experience! We were looking for a place for lunch where locals go and this place was awesome! It was filled with locals who were very animated and friendly. We speak no Italian and the gruff but very kind restaurateur speaks little English. He essentially told us what we were going to be served (in Italian so we had no idea) and he brought us several appetizers, a primi plate, and a secundo dish (to share). When we ordered espresso but declined dessert, he brought us a delicious dessert to share anyway (playfully saying “shhh!” lest we protest) along with a small glass of aperitif (which we also tried to decline). We only learned after the meal that we had to pay in cash and thought we’d have to find a cash machine to be able to pay for such an elaborate meal. We were pleasantly shocked to learn how inexpensive the meal was. This two hours was among our most memorable experiences in Italy.

We ended up there last Sunday, my wife and I, "attracted" by the blackboard seen in the images here on Google; on the phone, the owner confirmed a gruff friendliness. On the spot, we found a homely atmosphere, where the friendliness of the service was really big, as big as my belly was (already before, but especially after eating): 4 appetizers, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, all with encores or even tris!, plus dessert, coffee, pusacaffè, water and wine, 39 euros each. We left happy. I forgot that you couldn't pay by card, and the owner (who is also a member of the Granata team) waited for me to return from the ATM. We want to go back, maybe with children and friends!

26/08/2025: What a great restaurant, run by the loveliest family. Outside you enjoy a typical Piedmont view, and inside you sit in a charming old ruin. The family is truly exceptional – wonderful cooking, warm hospitality and great advice on both wine and food. We stayed in the Castello next to the restaurant and were lucky enough to eat here three times. We look back on it with great joy. Grazie!
21/06/2025: È stata una cena squisita sulla terrazza con vista. Siamo partiti da un antipasto leggero di pesce (fettine di spada e tonno) e tortino di melanzane, per passare ai primi dal gusto delicato (gnocchetti e ravioli), a seguire i secondi di carne (brasato e agnello) ma anche il salmone in crosta di sesamo. Abbiamo concluso il tutto con dei desserts ottimi. Il tutto accompagnato da un buonissimo barbera e dalla cortesia e simpatia del proprietario. L'impiattamento molto elegante ci ha permesso di assaporare il cibo dedicandogli il giusto tempo.

15/11/2025: We went to this restaurant by chance as we were there for the Christmas markets. We had a very good meal, the staff was helpful, and the food was excellent. The price was right for the quality of the food.
09/11/2025: A nice restaurant I frequent occasionally. Generally, I've always had a good experience, and this time, too, the food was delicious and the waitresses were very good. It's a shame about the truffle dish; we wanted to try it, as we usually do this time of year, but unfortunately, the dish arrived with the truffle already on it, without letting us see it or scraping it off in front of us. For those who aren't used to eating it, it's good manners to bring it to the table, show it to the diner, and then scrape it off onto the plate in front of the diner. Anyway, a good restaurant.
