08/08/2024: I had dinner here with my wife. We had an appetizer, a first course, a second course, a dessert each, water and wine. In terms of prices, Cavour21 has very few rivals, the efficiency of the waiters is excellent as is their kindness. It is almost obligatory to book unless you want to queue. Highly recommended and those who live in Genoa know that this place does not need presentations.
08/08/2024: This restaurant deserves a positive review beyond measure. I recommend making a reservation not because there aren't many seats, but because it is very crowded. We were welcomed with a reservation at 7.00 pm by what I believe are the owners who, with paper in hand, were calling up those "booked" (reservations recommended, but not mandatory). An international audience, there were also some Japanese. They accommodated us in the upstairs room and didn't cause any problems for the dog, who although very good is a golden retriever, so not very small. We ordered and already from reading the menu, very varied but above all composed of typical dishes, I noticed the low prices. Four of us ordered different dishes so I could taste the true and typical Genoese cuisine. Top food, but what surprised me was the fish starter which arrived in enormous quantities and which we rigorously and equally shared. First course of spaghetti with seafood and tasting of trofie. The others had the grill and a typical Genoese dish with an unpronounceable name for me. We ordered half a liter of sparkling white wine and since it was a pleasure to drink and didn't bother us, another half liter arrived. In short, at the end we were full but above all very satisfied. I rediscovered the flavors of tradition. I went to pay (about €80 for four people) and since the lady at the checkout spoke fluent English, I continued until I burst out laughing and continued in Italian. Very well received. We will return, but I sincerely hope that this review of mine does not change the prices and the excellent atmosphere. I didn't think typical and original places still existed. I'm not from Genoa, I'm not a friend of the restaurateurs to whom I repeat: keep as you are, don't change anything. If you don't like luxury places where you have to be dressed in a certain way, but you love simple taste....go there.
