I found all the dishes I liked, and a very pleasant surprise: the exquisite artichoke salad! But the Roman-style tripe and polenta with spare ribs were also very good. I particularly appreciated the cook's sparing use of salt. In short, it's worth trying.

Have you tried Fontana's gnocchi? They melt in your mouth, even though my husband's portion was a bit small... But we're old, and too much food is bad for you. The chestnut and apple stew is excellent, but this portion is also very small. A tip: Don't mock non-local customers. They might not come back, especially after seeing the unequal treatment compared to their fellow citizens' portions, which are at least double the size. Our money isn't worth half as much.

The restaurant is located in the historic center, just steps from the Castle. The family-run business is nothing short of fantastic. Excellent food with tasty dishes, fast service, and very kind owners. Reservations are recommended on weekends. Prices are reasonable.

Considering that we'd also had an aperitif before lunch while we waited, We enjoyed it first by the fireplace, then moved to the stove, while it was raining outside!!! Wonderful atmosphere, it feels like being in Trentino.
