More than positive experience. Some interesting dishes such as meat sushi (although I prefer fish sushi). I was able to try wagyu meat for the first time, very different from what I expected! It's not for everyone. Excellent service

Too sophisticated.(For me)..even on the menu..zebra meat? I was expecting a good fillet... the 8 green tortelli with butter and sage were definitely good, tasty filling with the right ratio between dough and filling... but I left hungry...

A place I frequented 30 years ago (already expensive then), beautiful and romantic, but today you can't even find parking. Very varied menu with selection of meats and wines. Very friendly staff, but my experience wasn't exactly positive! Tasteless first courses with overcooked tagliolini, spaghetti with Zebra ragù (nothing special), good fillets cooked as requested, in a dish that is very difficult to cut. I would have expected (given the period) fresh Porcini mushrooms. The mini donuts offered at the end of the dinner were good (nice gesture). I recommend eliminating the table "in the aisle" in the lower room and if a couple arrives with 3 newly vacated tables, of course rearrange a more secluded table and don't let them "borrow" them in the middle. High price (I expected better).

Ho scelto questo ristorante per festeggiare un'occasione speciale. Non lo conoscevo, ma è stata un'ottima scelta! Servizio dei ragazzi in sala attentissimo e molto cordiale! Il cibo buonissimo ( antipasti, tortellini e tagliata tutti ottimi). Abbiamo concluso in bellezza con i dolci di loro produzione ( gelato e piccola pasticceria). Sentendoci augurare "buon compleanno" ci hanno omaggiato di 3 bomboloncini fatti sul momento... Una vera coccola! Complimenti davvero! Bellissima scoperta! Torneremo a trovarvi!

non sono un habitue' dei ristoranti, preferisco mangiare a casa per non avere sorprese sgradevoli, ma in questo locale mi sono veramente stupito. appena arrivi ti trovi ad attraversare un giardino molto curato con dei tavoli, dopo alcuni gradini ti affacci su di una corte con altri tavoli ben disposti, con la giusta distanza tra loro, abbiamo cenato li, personale professionale e sorridente che non guasta mai, ed ora passiamo alle carni, un eccellenza, ho preso un filetto con i funghi porcini, sublime, annovero questo locale nei migliori 10 della mia vita, per atmosfera luogo e personale, complimenti davvero, grazie a voi mi fate tornare la voglia di andare al ristorante.

Very nice and intimate place a stone's throw from the center of Sassuolo. Exquisite food, of excellent quality and attention to detail. Fine cuts of meat! We tried the meat sushi for the first time and it is truly something exceptional. The staff is very sweet, a constant cuddle. Compliments. We will gladly return. Thank you!!!

17/02/2025: Great place for an aperitif.. great selection of wines, good cold cuts and gnocchi served with cutting boards. Also try the pinse, excellent! (few variations but spot on). Average bill.

Francescana at Maria Luigia

15/01/2025: Review is for both the hotel and the restaurant and they were both a top tier experience. The rooms, the staff, the art, the cars, the pool, the kitchens with fun snacks, the balsamic tour and the breakfast were all spectacular. And obviously who wouldn’t love a dinner highlighting some of Massimo’s best dishes. It was very cool that he was there and to hear him talking about some of the thought and history behind the dishes. We went to Osteria Francescana the next night and I think our group liked this meal better (but Osteria Francescana was still fantastic!). Only criticism for the hotel is that for a place meant to immerse you in fine dining, the coffee/espresso machines in the kitchens were just okay. Would have liked to make a macchiato or a cappuccino myself, but the ones they made for us at breakfast were delicious.
03/01/2025: I have so much love for this place! Firstly, the staff is so friendly and so attentive. We felt so well taken care of! Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay out of a fairytale. The rooms are so spacious and so clean! You are greeted with fresh Parmesan and a fully stocked fridge. The bed is massive and possibly the most comfortable thing I’ve ever laid on. The whole motto of “treat this like your home” is so true. I felt so comfortable here! The meal at Osteria Francescana at Maria Lugia is a totally different story…. Best meal I have ever had no questions ask. Every single dish told a story and I appreciated every bite! We even got to meet Massimo. Staying here has been a dream. Everything was to perfection and I wouldn’t change a thing!
