La Ferla In Caltabellotta

Every time we go to Sciacca, we stroll through Caltabellotta, which I've dubbed the village of silence (great for recharging your batteries), and we always have lunch at La Ferla. With this review, I reiterate what I've written in the past: I recommend the house appetizers, the carbonara with zucchini, the mutton, and the zuccotto. All enjoyed with a spectacular view. Recommended

Simple but delicious food in a simple setting, but at very competitive prices. Picturesque...

Finding myself in the area for work, I brought my family (my wife and three kids...or should I say grasshoppers...) with me. Looking for a place to have lunch, the photos of this place convinced us, and we went with high hopes and a real hunger. The owner welcomed us warmly and throughout the service was extremely kind, friendly, helpful, and even understanding of the hunger of the three grasshoppers, who were generous with the dishes. We had their multi-course appetizer, each one better than the last. Two first courses with sausage ragù were truly delicious and so generous we all ate them, two portions of grilled sausage, also generous and devoured by everyone. A slice of roast beef was incredibly delicious and tender. Three portions of French fries—the frozen kind, but fried beautifully and hot, were a joy to eat. Finally, for dessert, two zuccotti and three almond parfeits of their own production—all delicious! The house wine, sincere and pleasant, and water were also included. When we paid the bill, the owner gave us a free portion of chips, discounted our desserts, and offered two coffees. We also had a pleasant chat, and he definitely gained some new customers. Ultimately, the place is a bit "vintage" in its furnishings and features, but the owner's hospitality and the excellent food make me highly recommend it. A truly positive experience!

A simple place for an excellent, unplanned lunch. Special mention for the Sicilian cannoli: the best we've ever had, with their ricotta!! Definitely recommended.

We went during a visit to the town and had a great time. A family atmosphere, good home-cooked food, friendly staff, and fair prices.

I don't know if everything is like this, but the carbonara with zucchini was a 10/10. Mario is very kind and genuine.
