First evening in Pantelleria. The place was recommended by other vacationers. Excellent recommendation. Local flavors without frills, Pantelleria-style, as they say around here. Satisfied.

A place where you can savor the traditions of Pantelleria. The tuma cheese appetizer and Pantelleria-style rabbit are excellent.

Excellent dinner; all the courses were delicious, but the two off-menu fish starters were truly delicious. Portions were adequate, and prices balanced the quantity and quality. Thanks to the young waiter who served us with kindness and recommended an excellent local white wine. The place is a bit out of the way, but worth the visit.

A dream that comes true every time I return. A journey through the ancestral flavors of a place unlike any other.

We come back every year for the rabbit, which is superb, and more.
They never disappoint us, both in their greetings, their hospitality, and their professionalism.
The passito tiramisu is also worth trying.

La Favarotta Restaurant – Pantelleria, in the shade of the carob tree - memories
There are places you don't visit: you experience them. La Favarotta isn't a restaurant, but a sort of Pantelleria confessional, where among the ancient branches of the carob tree you find yourself immersed in stories that taste of the sea, the wind, and that island that never gives anyone a break.
The innkeeper Alessandro doesn't welcome you: he embraces you, and he does so with that sly and knowledgeable air that only those who know every inch of the earth can afford. He is the Virgil of the table: he guides you through the circles of delicacies, among bottarga that taste of the eternal sea and vegetables that seem freshly plucked from the volcanic rock. And as Dante taught us that "food is medicine for the soul," here the soul is served in dishes that need no explanation: they are living memory.
The innkeeper's stories are more intoxicating than the great Zibibbo, and it's best not to overindulge, lest you mistake a lighthouse for the flashing lights of someone passing you on the road, or worse yet, fate for a simple flash of lightning.
The restaurant is suspended between sky and sea, high up, with a muffled silence that feels like anticipation and a miracle. The cellar is a hymn to the god Bacchus, but here you don't drink wine: you listen, like you do with an old friend who always knows what to say.
This is La Favarotta: a secular altar to life, to the table, to the word. Where poetry becomes irony, and irony transforms into memory. Returning is like daydreaming: you come in to eat, you leave with the certainty that the island has told you another of its truths.

A good, characteristic and traditional trattoria, with typical and well-prepared food.

We visited this wonderful trattoria with friends in September 2025. It has a beautiful view even in the evening, a great atmosphere, excellent fish dishes, both first and second courses, as well as desserts and wines. The service was welcoming, fast, and friendly. Alessandro is very friendly and very professional. We had a wonderful evening! Giovanna and Giorgio from Capri!

The Wednesday evening couscous was exceptional, served with broth on the side for dipping. Very friendly and fast service despite the large number of customers. The location is beautiful, surrounded by Pantelleria's natural beauty. Prices are a bit high, but they're appropriate for the quality of the food and the location.
