It's just that I couldn't give it six stars. The food was incredible. They use local ingredients, and the chef adds a creative twist to every dish. Truly Michelin-starred, with excellent value. The wines are also carefully selected and perfectly complement the dishes. 100% recommended!

We visited this wonderful restaurant twice during our stay in Castiglione del Lago. The welcome is very warm, and the food is fantastic. Since we have several vegetarians in our large family, they even offered to add a vegetarian dish of the day when we made our reservation. All the dishes were perfect and exceptionally delicious. The ambiance is just as good. The interior is tastefully and comfortably decorated, and the terrace offers a stunning view over the valley. We highly recommend La Dogana!

Magical place, super welcoming staff and fantastic food ♥️

We found this place by chance on our way back from Cortona and stopped for lunch. The owners immediately struck us as very kind. We sat at the outdoor tables overlooking the hills. We each had a first course and a dessert, and both were delicious. The wine pairing was wonderful...a truly excellent rosé! A place I would definitely return to!!!

We spent a wonderful evening at this place, where in summer, dining al fresco allows you to enjoy a beautiful sunset and a magical atmosphere. The menu offers refined dishes and unique pairings, but without distorting the raw ingredients, which are entirely sourced locally. The excellent wine list ranges from sparkling wines to still wines to dessert wines, all selected from Umbrian and Tuscan wineries, showcasing local excellence. Overall, everything was excellent: value for money, food, and service, which is attentive and friendly, without being too aloof or overbearing. A small restaurant, operated by a family passionate about Tuscany. The view is exceptional. The food is very good.

The day we visited there was a heavy rain, thunder and storm, but we were able to enjoy delicious food and a beautiful space that made the bad weather seem unimpressive. We ordered a course meal for dinner, which was very filling and every dish was delicious, so we were very satisfied. The owner is an immigrant, so he speaks fluent English, which was reassuring.
