La Dogana In Altopascio

I'm writing this because the person directly involved has no way to publish it...these are her words: We've been frequenting this place for a couple of months with great pleasure. It's always been a go-to place for quality dinners and a welcoming atmosphere. The platters are truly unique, carefully crafted both in terms of composition and product quality: a true strength of the place. Everything was going well until I discovered that, during a previous visit, if I hadn't taken a precautionary pill (due to my numerous allergies), the evening could have ended in tragedy. I know perfectly well that dealing with a customer with allergies isn't easy, and for this very reason, it's essential to be doubly careful, especially when a specific request is made and reiterated multiple times. I ask if a dessert offered is indeed lactose-free, it's checked (at my request), and I'm told, in a somewhat annoyed tone, that I can eat it. I eat it, and everything's fine thanks to the pill. But this isn't acceptable. This is about health. This is about life. The most recent dinner was perfect until that moment of "discovery." I don't want to generalize, because the owner's welcome is always wonderful; Marcos serves us with kindness and a genuine smile, and Sole is always calm, precise, and helpful. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for another waiter, whose smirks while I was explaining a serious problem left me very disappointed. Maybe it's just his manner, but at that moment it seemed like a joke. The owner, upon learning of the situation, immediately came to the table to apologize. A very appreciated gesture, as was the empathy and understanding shown by a lady at the cash register (perhaps the owner), who expressed sincere and regretful words. It wasn't my intention not to pay, but the gesture was meaningful and I felt it was made from the heart. I will return, but not right away. I need to let this sink in first. When I do, I'll decide whether or not to sit down based on the staff present. The restaurant remains a place where you can eat very well, with truly high-quality food. The problem isn't the food, it's not the atmosphere, it's not the majority of the staff. The problem was a serious mistake, one that, unfortunately, I can't turn a blind eye to. I hope my experience serves as a starting point for greater attention in the future, because it's a truly worthy place, but when it comes to allergies... you can't afford to be careless. -

Beautiful experience.. I celebrated my fiftieth birthday last Saturday in Altopascio and we had a great time.. spectacular food, friendly and professional staff and Mirko truly a great leader, very kind and always available for any request even if our crew was particularly noisy 🎉🥳🎊, real party animals ☺️🫣.. Highly recommended.... In fact, we'll be back on Friday to celebrate again.. Thank you all so much.. you are spectacular 🥰. You made my birthday an unforgettable moment 🥰.. Laura

A very nice charcuterie board at a very affordable price. A nice surprise overall. Would do it again. A very pleasant evening with friends.

We went here for the first time this evening, for an aperitif with friends who already knew it. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the platters were generous, with delicious cured meats. An experience worth repeating. I recommend it as an alternative to traditional dinners.

Traveling from Caserta to Novara, a mandatory stop at the Altopascio Customs. We stopped in Altopascio out of curiosity about the customs, since my wife and I follow them on social media. In today's world, so many places promote their products or establishments, but they don't always live up to expectations. We experienced the quality of the Dogana firsthand, and I must say that what Mirko and Fabio promote is the quality of exceptional products presented by a master pork butcher like him. Knowledge and experience create a perfect combination, passion, and love for products that are anything but predictable to prepare. What can I say? Three of us stopped in for lunch. We had a cured meats appetizer, two first courses, a porchetta and eggplant sandwich, a spritz, water, dessert, and coffee...and I can say that the prices are below average, the service is satisfactory, and the atmosphere is well-kept, clean, and welcoming.

Vengo sempre a pranzo qui quando sono in zona . Il menu "lavoro" 12€ escl. bevande, comprende sempre più scelte e spesso piatti particolari. Le pietanze col pesce hanno un piccolo sovrapprezzo (1,5) e ne vale la pena. Consigliatissimo. Piatti saporiti e curati , tantissima scelta e personale cordiale.

Ho festeggiato qui il mio 50 compleanno. Che dire e stata una bella serata. Ambiente pulito servizio impeccabile. Consiglio questo locale. Non ve ne pentirete. Grazie di tutto.
