La Dispensa restaurant in San Felice del Benaco is a culinary gem that combines the intimate atmosphere of an Italian osteria with the elegance of a bistro. It's a Lake Garda hotspot for those seeking excellent ingredients and uncompromising cuisine.

Family lunch with 2 children. Reservations accepted with credit card in case of a no-show. The place is a bit retro, but that's the way it is, tastes matter. The menu is limited, okay, but quite varied (perhaps too much so): it ranges from rib steak to fried fish. Everything was good and not predictable. The tiramisu at the end was very, very good. The wine list was impressive, although the prices were a bit above average. The same goes for the final bill: the ingredients are high-quality, but perhaps everything was a bit overpriced, especially considering the location. My personal opinion. I still give it 5 stars for the high quality, but if I could, I would have taken half a point off.

An authentic restaurant with a very large selection of wines. The ambiance is very pleasant. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Attentive and friendly staff. The only downside was that the menu was larger online. We would recommend this restaurant.

The food was impeccable, the quality was excellent. I would have returned and recommended it if it weren't for the above-average value and the wine service (and I'm referring only to this) that was far below par. We were served wines by the glass, emptying the bottle to the point of requiring a replacement. We would have expected a minimal courtesy regarding the wine, at least a complimentary glass for a €260 expense for two.

Top of the Top at Lake Garda – not only the steaks, but also the seafood, fish, antipasti, and wine selection are outstanding. All this combined with super friendly service – top-notch!

Meat specialties (don't look for alternatives) and excellent wines. The only flaw is that they emphasize French labels and unusual wines too much.

The atmosphere is informal but meticulously maintained, and extremely clean. The staff are wonderful, cheerful, and extremely knowledgeable. The Pithivier/Rhône pairing is fantastic. With this in mind, we chose a bottle and asked for a dish to go with it—a perfect match that even Michelin-starred restaurants struggle to achieve. Continuing on this theme, the pantry has completely screwed up the various food guides, offering top-quality ingredients and showcasing them to the fullest without too many frills. Spices are bold where they need to be bold (Pithivier base) and sparingly used where they need to be used (frogs). I think the smokiness on the lasagna was perhaps a bit bold, but we finished it all anyway. The wine list is amazing, the glasses are top-notch. That said, we've traveled 350 km and can't wait to return! P.S.: Super dog-friendly place.
