La Dispensa In San felice del benaco

Great place, I've always loved it: spectacular food (high quality meat and top quality fresh fish) and an immense and highly refined cellar. Serious stuff, in short ;-)

Amazing food and wine, worth the trip!

Food very decent. Recommendations from the main waiter are given. Huge wine list (do they really have everything in stock?), feel free to ask for an affordable wine. Service overwhelmed. Domestic dog(s) on the go, who likes it?! Good food but way too expensive for the service and ambience.

We have tried to eat here a few times so were delighted to get a table on our last evening in San Felice. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the owner made up a cocktail for us - a gin version of a Moscow Mule. We opted to share the anchovy starter which was nice but nothing special considering it cost €22. I wanted tuna as my main but they didn’t have any and offered me sole instead. My husband went for the pork belly and it was delicious, but a tiny portion. I had well cooked sole with two asparagus spears. Again, it seemed pricy for what it was €45. My husband prefers red wine, me white so we opted for a glass of each. La Dispensa doesn’t have house wine as such but gave me a decent crisp white. My husband’s glass of red was the end of the bottle and so full of sediment he only took one sip. San Felice has lots of nice restaurants for its size that offer a better value meal than La Dispensa.

Pleasant evening with excellent service and notable wine offering. Meat is absolutely worth eating. Very fresh fish.

Location with an eclectic style, warm and welcoming. Definitely not a "set" place. The dishes tried, both meat and fish, were excellent both in preparation and in the selection of raw materials. Infinite choice of wines to pair. Yes, it's true, the cost is high, but on the other hand quality has its price. Highly recommended.

Bel locale arredato e gestito con passione e attenzione alle materie prime . Salumi squisiti ,serviti con pane caldo e soprattutto con una bellissima preservazione da parte del proprietario. Menu ‘ interessante . Prezzi alti . Da rivisitare con più tempo a disposizione .
