On our way back from a visit to the superb Verrucole Fortress (which I highly recommend), we stopped here for a bite to eat. The choice was between sandwiches and a platter, and we opted for the latter. The platter, for two, was generous with excellent cured meats—the lardo in particular was divine—and cheeses, accompanied by a small bowl of excellent local honey and sweet and sour pickled onions. A delicious homemade bread and focaccia completed this delicious meal overlooking Mount Pisanino.

First experience and it was good

An informal place where you can have a quick lunch with sandwiches and/or platters. The lady welcomed us well by advising that there is no kitchen. The platter that served us for two would have been enough for at least 3 people. Abundant and delicious.

We ate outside after a lovely walk around the lake (May - a fantastic sunny day). Homemade farro taliatelle with porcini mushrooms melted in your mouth, and ricotta and spinach ravioli with porcini mushrooms were delicious. For the main course, peasant-style pamodoro, seasoned with oil and onions, was incredibly tasty. They also have enormous steaks, but one course was enough for us. Very fair prices, friendly and fast service. I recommend.
