The food was good.
The white wine was perfect, fruity.
The restrooms were clean.
BUT:
* What a racket! My ears could hardly stand it.
* What a wait! It was Sunday, and it seemed the kitchen staff couldn't keep up. An hour for a simple pasta dish. That's way too long.
What a shame.

Great dinner at Convento in Cetara. Very quiet on a tuesday night in november. Great if anchovies are your thing. Had a Genovese di Tonno for the first time but i think i prefer the classic meat version.

Dinner at Casa Torrente is always top-notch. Prices are a bit high, but that's okay.

There were 10 of us for lunch, and the quality of the products was truly exceptional.
We had two different first courses: tuna genovese and spaghetti with clams. Everything was excellent, as was the fried fish. The quality and price were fair.

Food was excellent!! My favorite was the Tuna Genovese! Very beautiful restaurant in a lovely seaside village. A little tricky to find because Google will indicate you have arrived, but you won’t see it until you go up the stairs.

We visited on a Saturday evening, booking through TheFork. We ate outside, under a patio shaded by trees and awnings, with a charming view of the church square and Cetara's main street: a truly unique atmosphere.
For our appetizer, we chose bread, butter, and anchovies: simple but unmissable, an authentic taste of the area. We then ordered two first courses: the ziti alla genovese with tuna was surprising, a successful combination of tradition and creativity. The spaghetti with anchovy sauce, while good, was less punchy. The fisherman's fried fish was also excellent: the fish was extremely fresh and well-prepared, seemingly sprung straight from the sea into the chef's pan.
On a sad note: "Our Bloody Mary" is unfortunately not a Bloody Mary. It's rather a tomato juice devoid of anything reminiscent of a Bloody Mary: there's no vodka, Tabasco, or Worcestershire sauce. So it shouldn't be called a Bloody Mary, but rather our own smoothie, perhaps.
Overall, a very positive experience, more than fair price, recommended for those seeking traditional cuisine with original touches, in the spectacular setting of the Amalfi Coast.

A Cetara landmark! The Torrente family (father and son) maintain their reputation with cuisine that respects tradition while adding interesting, innovative touches with their latest menu. Anchovies, tuna Genovese, and raw seafood are a must! The location is much quieter and breezier than other restaurants in Cetara, and especially away from traffic. The freshest fish is available at the bar, and the wine list is top-notch.
A must-have for our summer vacation!
And my son has been thanking the chef for his clams since he was two!
