Location da sogno sul lago! Posto stupendo, ben tenuto e curato in ogni dettaglio. Personale gentile e preparato. Cibo squisito e super ricercato, qualità degli ingredienti altissima! Prezzo onesto visto il contesto e la qualità. Bravi! Consigliato!

Bellissima pranzo l'anniversario. Già solo alla vista della location abbiamo avuto il sentore di aver trovato un posto eccezionale e così è stato! Vista panoramica sul lago d'orta, verde curato in modo maniacale e arredi semplici ma di gusto. Anche'interno, semplice ma elegante. E poi la cucina, veramente sublime! Consigliatissimi il crudo di pesce, freschissimo e in quantità più che generosa per una sola persona, e il menù degustazione della tradizione. Ci torneremo senz'altro nella stagione calda per godere di più dell'esterno.

Every aspect of this fantastic location is top notch. Michelin star cuisine, breathtaking location, exceptional staff. I have eaten in starred restaurants that were not up to the standard of Darbia cuisine. Chef Matteo is always present and makes every dinner special. Already booked for next year!

We finally managed to get a table for lunch on Sunday. Expectations were high and they were amply rewarded! Spectacular location overlooking Lake Orta. You park easily in the reserved area. Immediately after, the double wooden door opens like a curtain onto the restaurant's organic vegetable garden, offering different scents and colors depending on the season. The route continues towards the outdoor bar where it is possible to enjoy an aperitif or dessert when the season and weather allow it. A few more steps and you reach the elegant restaurant room overlooking the garden with a terrace from which you can admire a wonderful panorama of Lake Orta. Upon your arrival, Chef Matteo Monfrinotti welcomes you with a smile, making you feel at home. The gastronomic offer is oriented to the territory, very creative and elegant. The flavors are unique and unforgettable. Spectacular as an entree and the aromatic butter to spread on the wholemeal bread they produce! We tried the pepper with green sauce (excellent), the fillet Wellington (divine) and finished with the Bonet (to remember) and the coffee accompanied by spoonful gianduia chocolate. The staff is all made up of very knowledgeable and kind young people: congratulations to them too. The Chef made sure to ask us how lunch was going several times, but never in a nagging way (which made us very happy). The bill was proportionate to the level of raw materials used, the service and the location. We had a very good time! Compliments. At least once in your life you must try Chef Monfrinotti's cuisine at Cucina della Darbia!

This resort has a beautiful setting and excellent cuisine however I would not recommend dining here unless you are staying at the resort and when the weather will permit you to sit outside, otherwise you may end up like us at the worst table in the small upstairs room. What the website and Google maps doesn’t make clear is that though the restaurant is only 4 minutes and 1.5 Km from Orta, the route is very narrow, winding and steep. We missed the entrance to their private drive as there was only a very small sign and then came in on the very narrow road from Vacciago. Not so bad since it was not dark or raining and luckily we encountered several friendly walkers who helped explain the route. The drive back down their private drive was a bit frightening, good job I only had one glass of wine😳 Having viewed the menu online, I was prepared to pay 100€ for the 5 course menu but was shocked to find that a glass of red wine would be 30-40€, although online and in the bar prices are more reasonable. We decided on the raw snapper and Quail leg (3) entrees and the beef Wellington which seemed like a real bargain at 90€ for two people. I must make a special mention of the impressive and delicious mound of whipped butter which was presented with the bread and amuse bouche. As we had arrived early we were able to enjoy an aperitif in their lovely outdoor bar and watch the sunset. Many thanks to the staff and kitchen.

Two weeks ago we were able to dine in this great restaurant. For dinner we sat in the front row with a wonderful view of Lake Orta. A great ambience, vegetable and herb beds all around and a great service team and high-quality food. The “butter mountain” alone is a great idea :). Fresh seafood and perfect ingredients. Class! The evening is rounded off with the “Nougat Mountain” at the end. Thanks to all :-).

Restaurant with resort on the hills above Orta. In summer you eat in a beautiful garden overlooking the lake. Refined and well-executed dishes with fast and well-done service performed by young and well-trained waiters. Really extensive wine list. The bar is beautiful where you can have an aperitif with the tables in the middle of their garden. Super recommended.

We had arranged to meet friends for dinner. The location and the facilities were a dream, the rest really leaves a lot to be desired. The food was mediocre and way too expensive. The service was really bad, the wine was only refilled once and then we were completely forgotten. Criticism was responded to in a very unprofessional manner and after that we were hardly noticed.

I have had the pleasure of visiting La Darbia several times, both for lunch and dinner, and even for an aperitif, and each time it has been an extraordinary experience. The restaurant is a true jewel, immersed in a spectacular natural context, with a view of Lake Orta that takes your breath away. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavours, prepared with the freshest ingredients and with extraordinary attention to detail. The menu offers a perfect combination of tradition and innovation, highlighting local products in an excellent way. The service is impeccable, with friendly staff attentive to every need. I highly recommend La Darbia to anyone who wants an excellent dining experience in a dream setting. 5 stars well deserved!
