LA CUCCAGNA In Guardavalle

A quaint restaurant in the village of Guardavalle. Parking is conveniently available nearby. We tried their platter, which includes typical Calabrian cured meats and cheeses, as well as other dishes. We were truly satisfied with the quality and variety of the products on our plates. As with most Calabrian restaurants, the service is a bit slow.

Rosy and Antonio are fantastic people, and the rest of the staff is also super helpful and courteous. The food is fabulous. A fantastic experience that I highly recommend! I can't wait to go back.

The pizza was a real surprise: fragrant, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked, with a light, non-heavy dough. A perfect place for those looking for a relaxed dinner, with good food and genuine people. We went to this restaurant for dinner and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, with a warm, family-like feel. The concept is very simple: if you want to savor or discover the taste of the typical cuisine of Guardavalle…you are in the right place. I rediscovered the flavor, the taste of the dishes of the past. Everything is truly excellent: from the first courses, to the second courses, to the pizza (Guardavalle). No frills, straight to the point where the substance of the dish is the protagonist. During the summer you can dine in the square…and for me it is something more. For me its simplicity is GREAT. Attentive service, very friendly staff. Well done!!!

Very good dinner, already full from the homemade appetizer

Il locale è una trattoria/pizzeria molto semplice ma il cibo è veramente ottimo ad un prezzo molto contenuto. Porzioni abbondanti. Abbiamo gustato tonnarelli dello Ionio e pancia di maialino nero silano al forno con crema di melanzane e ndujia.

Esperienza più che positiva: ho ordinato 2pizze da asporto e arrivata a casa mi accorgo che una è rossa anziché bianca. Richiamo il locale e dopo qualche squillo riattacco perché, anche facendo presente l'errore, non sarei mai tornata per cambiare la pizza. Non solo la signora mi richiama e, una volta spiegato che non avrei potuto mangiare la pizza a causa di una forte intolleranza, si scusa per l'errore, ma mi manda la pizza corretta a domicilio nel giro di qualche minuto. Beh, questa per me è stata una gentilezza fuori dal comune. Avete certamente guadagnato un cliente e vi consiglierò a tutti i miei conoscenti, oltre che ordinare sempre da voi ogni volta che verrò in vacanza!!!
