Top place. If I were really asked for advice, I would put more mustard in the boiled meat. I would increase the level on wines by the glass. However, I would have lunch there every Sunday.

Second time in this place and I must say that it never disappoints, everything is good, the snails are highly appreciated.

Suggestive location immersed in a context that takes you to another era. Inside, a pleasant and attentive environment. However, I paid too much attention to some things (excessive requests to provide additional bottles for drinking when we had stopped at one and that was fine) and too little to others (a friend's birthday, reported several times on the reservations and nothing... forgotten.)
Food that must actually be liked in terms of flavors and culture, personally too heavy for my palate. I recommend trying it at least once anyway

Exciting experience in what for me is perhaps the best restaurant visited so far. A journey into the tradition, culinary and beyond, of this beautiful and romantic land... Elegant environment, traditional and rural cuisine, amazing wine list... even the self-produced wine is exceptional! The dining room staff is prepared, refined and attentive to detail while remaining informal and friendly. "The crack" doesn't make a crack..!! I hope to return very soon. Thank you.. you are wonderful.

I had lunch a few days ago in this historic restaurant located in the main square of Isola Dovarese. The first and second courses were to my liking, the same for the very good bread. The desserts disappointed expectations, as the tart was said to contain eggnog inside, but I didn't notice it at all. Even the semifreddo was nothing special. The service seemed a little confusing and I had trouble paying the bill, as I realized immediately afterwards that a bottle of wine that we had never ordered had been added. The matter was obviously reported and clarified, but it seemed to me to be an error which, as well as being gross, made little sense, given that we had ordered two glasses of wine (not as an aperitif), so it made no sense to order a subsequent bottle for two diners. The environment didn't seem particularly heated in my area and I didn't understand the point of putting down jackets in an area where everyone passed to go to the bathroom, without any form of supervision over personal belongings. On the other hand, therefore, a positive experience for the food (especially the first one which was very good), but something to review about the service.

Locale accogliente e di aspetto retrò, ci si sente a casa. Ogni piatto ha la sua storia ed è sapientemente scelto e preparato. Bravi

Abbiamo ricevuto in regalo un cofanetto Smartbox e nella ricerca dei luoghi previsti abbiamo scelto questo sia per le segnalazioni degli utenti che per la vicinanza.
Il locale è inserito in una piazza quasi tutta porticata ed in stile ottocentesco, molto coreografica rispetto al resto del paese, classicamente di campagna.
Il menù è piuttosto ricco e ricercato, con rivisitazione di piatti della tradizione cremonese/mantovana. Purtroppo il nostro cofanetto prevedeva un menù ridotto (Evergreen); comunque i piatti sono previsti anche nel menù principale, è solo la quantità che è ridotta (molto).
L'ingresso prevedeva delle polpettine di carne, molto buone; antipasto con spalla cotta tagliata a coltello e verdure sottaceto; riso all'onda con finanziera (con aggiunta di aceto balsamico ideale); pescato del giorno in fricandò (filetto del pesce avvolto con una fettina di lardo e rosolate in padella); semifreddo al torrone di Cremona. Tutto buono, forse troppe verdure acetate.
