La crepa In Isola dovarese

What a wonderful experience!! We were so happy to have made this detour on our return trip to the province of Rome to sample the delicacies at Caffè la Crepa. Each thing was better than the next, and once again, these award-winning Italian Trattorie deserve their reputation for deliciousness, creativity, and quality at a fair price. The appetizers were all exceptional, a unique blend of flavors, whether it's the guinea fowl or the pike. Then there were the tripe dishes, so much you could eat forever—it's like a seafood salad with calamari, fresh and summery. The tortelli amari taste like an Asian dish, delicious, and the Po sturgeon is also worth a try. There were so many other things to try, but we finished with dessert: an excellent mix of sorbets (especially the fig one) and a Cremona semifreddo from Bis. Their organic espresso was also particularly good, as described on the menu. If you can, visit their shop connected to the restaurant, where you can purchase many local products as well as excellent local and national wines. May the Passport of Award-Winning Italian Trattorias continue to add stamps!!

Historic restaurant from the late 19th century in the main 16th-century square of Isola Dovarese. The cuisine is excellent, as is the wine list. The service is friendly, and finally, the bill is fair. Worth a visit.

Eaten to God. The goose liver escalope was a delight, as were the foie gras and the sturgeon. Among these delicacies, there was an excellent Friulian white wine and the family warmth that accompanied everything.

We discovered Caffè La Crepa thanks to a Smartbox and were so happy with our choice! The place is truly charming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. A special mention goes to their flexibility: despite the typical "limitations" of gift packages, they were fantastic at finding valid alternatives to accommodate our food intolerances. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant perfectly reflects the atmosphere of the village: simple, authentic, and frozen in time. The food is truly excellent, reflecting the local culture, accompanied by a wide selection of wines and spirits. There's also a small cellar with an excellent selection of wines, which the owner kindly showed us. The owner's passion for his work and the wines he offers is clearly evident. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back.

A historic establishment steeped in tradition, local cuisine culture, hospitality, and passion. Typical dishes, truly delicious. All this is complemented by a welcoming, historic location. A dive into the food and wine history where you can discover a region and its dishes.

The best restaurant in Northern Italy? I don't know, but it's a serious contender for the throne: traditional aesthetics with attention to excellence in a Renaissance setting, top-notch wines, and the cuisine is the best the region has to offer.

Extremely kind and attentive staff, excellent food expertly paired with superior wines. A perfect evening in a wonderful historic restaurant. You don't stumble upon Isola Dovarese by chance; it's a little gem nestled in the Po Valley waiting to be discovered, and La Crepa is part of it.

When you enter the square you feel catapulted back in time and imagine the Risorgimento scene of the trampling of horses, the sizzling of carriages and the buzz of people discussing ideas, negotiations, harvest forecasts... and then the food is a surprise of tastes...
