This is my husband and I's second evening at this delightful restaurant.
I can confirm the positive experience we had last night.
FRESH FISH!!
An excellent first course:
Busiate alla trapanese, which my husband ordered "complete": with the addition of potatoes and fried eggplant. I should emphasize that even the potatoes were fresh, not frozen!
Second course:
Catch of the day: I chose the red mullet cooked alla trapanese: baked with cherry tomatoes, capers, and olives, a delight.
My husband had mussel soup. Simply delicious.
All generous portions.
Water, coffee
€67. A price we haven't found anywhere else serving fish in Trapani.
PS: A small, much appreciated touch: coffee accompanied by an amaretto.

On vacation in Trapani, after three days of trying in vain to find a quaint, non-touristy restaurant, we finally tried La Cozza Umbriaca, at the suggestion of the cashier at the multi-story parking lot. A very positive experience, with a rich seafood couscous (even a whole scorpion fish) and well-seasoned food. The pasta with fresh sea urchins was fantastic, as was an appetizer of bruschetta with Trapanese pesto and an excellent fried calamari.
The staff were extremely friendly and flexible with their opening hours (they start at 7:30 PM). The final surprise was the very reasonable prices for the quality (€13 for couscous, €5 for appetizer with bruschetta, €13 for fried calamari). A highly recommended experience, one to repeat.

Excellent value for money. The waiters were kind and helpful. They were especially attentive to my allergies, which I really appreciated. I've preferred the couscous and spaghetti with clams elsewhere. Excellent mussels, good fried food.

Cozy little restaurant, very friendly staff, excellent quality and price.
After a long time, I've found a place in Trapani where the food is REALLY good, everything fresh and good quality. The staff was very kind to us, and the owner was incredibly courteous, both professionally and personally. We even had the pleasure of him sharing a glass of wine with us.
We'll definitely be back!!!!
I recommend it.

Today my wife and I had a seafood lunch. The mussels were excellent, the fried calamari was the best ever. The wine was top-notch, the dessert was delicious, and the coffee and liqueurs were excellent. The only flaw keeping us from giving it five stars was the couscous, which wasn't very flavorful for our taste. The service was impeccable, the staff were very kind and helpful. Highly recommended for couples, families, and business meetings.
