How wonderful to be able to eat in such a unique and characteristic place, with such masterfully prepared dishes, with truly excellent service, and be able to feel at home...gentlemen, this is what happens at Corte dei Simonari!!! Everything was beautiful, everyone was truly nice, from the first to the last. The owner is probably the sweetest of all; before we left, she even gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. We can't wait to return to try other Salento dishes prepared (and in some cases revisited) by the talented chef and to be pampered by all the staff.

I forgot to mention that the prices are MORE than fair.

To celebrate a birthday, we chose this warm, atmospheric location, steeped in tradition and hospitality. A restaurant that's more than just a place to eat, but a lasting experience. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity, quality, and true hospitality in Salento. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, seasonal, and carefully selected. Chef Massimo's knowledge and experience are evident in every dish. The staff is another great strength: attentive, helpful, and courteous, they make every guest feel truly welcome, with just the right balance of professionalism and warmth.

If you're looking for a signature dinner where you can savor the flavors of Salento, this is the place.
Despite being about thirty minutes late (we were coming from Gagliano), we arrived at 10:30 PM and were greeted warmly.
The service was prompt; they didn't rush us through our orders and our meals.
The staff was polite and professional.
The location is in an old Salento farmhouse, an elegant and romantic setting.
Among the various options, we enjoyed the authentic tria cu li ciciari e li frizzuli, which were a real discovery.
A discreet place, delicious food, and a typical Salento atmosphere. A must for anyone who wants to experience Salento cuisine in all its authenticity.

The quality of the dishes was excellent, however, the high perceived temperature in the room partially compromised the overall experience; we suggest improving the air conditioning.

Although the dishes were tasty, unfortunately the service was really poor, slow and absent. We had to insist 3 times to change the dishes, not to mention the heat. I'm sorry, it has potential but it is not being exploited.

Il mio giudizio è solo personale e riferito alle portate che ho assaggiato. Frittini misti ed antipasti di terra buoni. Spaghettone cacio e pepe delicata. Agnello alla griglia deludente. Pane non fresco e dolci di pasta di mandorla un po’ troppo duri. Il servizio nella norma. Il conto un po’ alto per la tipologia di piatti degustati.

Poche volte nella mia vita ho mangiato così bene (e di posti ne ho girati veramente tanti!)
Location meravigliosa immersa in un borgo stupendo.
Materie prime eccellenti di primissima qualità, freschissime, stagionali e della zona.
Piatti che solo a vederli ti fanno venire l'acquolina...
E poi.....quella cacio e pepe fatta al momento nella forma di pecorino...sublime.
Dobbiamo tornarci!
