26/03/2026: I went with two friends to the Alla Posteria restaurant in Varese with average expectations, and unfortunately, they remained so.
The restaurant is average, with no particular distinguishing features. The staff is friendly and helpful, nothing to complain about in that regard. The food, however, is average: decent, but nothing memorable, especially considering the final bill of €190 (two platters and three main courses).
The truly disappointing part came at the end of the meal. Jokingly, I asked, "Excuse me, isn't there anything on the house?" I was told, rather coldly, that the management doesn't offer anything because it's a "rule" of the restaurant.
Beyond the offer itself—which is certainly not mandatory—what leaves a bitter taste in the mouth is the rigidity and total lack of even a small gesture of courtesy after a large expense. Sometimes, it takes very little to make a customer feel appreciated.
It's a shame, because the overall experience wasn't negative, but this closure left a feeling of sadness.
We didn't leave a tip...it was our "rule."
Personally, I don't think I'll be back.
23/03/2026: A very positive experience. I had an appetizer, a first course, and a dessert. Everything was very good. The service was very friendly, although if you order a glass of wine, I'd recommend pouring it directly at the table to show the bottle instead of bringing a full glass. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the final price was fair for the location and quality.
