We had an excellent fish lunch with my parents on Friday morning in front of the sea, fair prices, generous portions and very friendly service. Restaurant promoted with flying colours!

Very good pizza and very good fish dishes. First courses good and plentiful. Breading Frying needs improvement but not bad overall. Really good value for money. Location with sea view. Indeed on the sea. The evening with the south-westerly wind must be spectacular.

13/06/2025: The restaurant is located directly on the beach. Various table sizes are available in the sheltered outdoor area right next to the veranda. Very quiet. Perfect for a wonderful dining experience for two. Fish dishes, pasta, pizza,... Italian desserts, I recommend Tartufo! Everything your heart desires from Italian cuisine. Young and exceptionally friendly staff. The chef herself is in the kitchen. The food is perfect, super delicious and of the highest quality. An absolute insider tip. Actually a 5 star ++ It was the highlight of this week. Highly recommended 👌🔝
11/06/2025: Yesterday I went there with a friend for dinner and chef Federico delighted us with this dish of tagliatelle with red shrimp!!! Thank you 🙏🏻 Fede you are exceptional. Thanks to Caterina for her kindness and to Maela and Octavio who pampered us

Trattoria Pizzeria Tre Merli

13/05/2025: I'll be back! I was in 2023 and I'll be back in May/June because the structure, although not attached to the historic center of Trieste, is wonderful. Good breakfast, sea view... internal parking, large room and the bathroom is wonderful. What peace. Excellent service.
06/01/2025: Hotel and restaurant in a superlative location with a terrace overlooking the sea, but unfortunately our room - like some of the hotel rooms - was right next to the main road in Trieste, so there was a lot of traffic and too much noise even at night. Not suitable for those looking for a quiet place to sleep in peace. Breakfast served on the terrace with sea view, with a choice of food and drinks to be made the day before with a special list given at the reception. Value for money not positive as the cost is very high if proportionate to the services provided. Very small room with ordinary furnishings.
