La Colombina In Venezia

We knew that we’d have a fabulous choice of restaurants in Venice and our main problem would be deciding. But with a small, unpretentious dining room, intriguing menu and a long standing series of Michelin stars this seemed like a good bet. We were not disappointed. Starting with a simple shared appetizer of crispy bread with garlic perfect bruschetta, our appetites were properly whetted. A party of 4, one of us has a peanut allergy and the well trained staff took it seriously. We enjoyed a gnocchi with creamed rosemary and crab sauce, spaghetti with a cheese and truffle topping and a zucchini crusted sea bass. All superb! We had a series of typical Italian desserts but there was nothing typical about the quality of ingredients and scrumptious tastes. A great time was had by all.

Das la Colombina gehört sicherlich zu den besten Restaurants in Venedig. Man wird hier sehr herzlich bedient und sorgfältig beraten. Das Besondere an diesem Restaurant sind die Tapas venezianischer Art. Es gibt insgesamt 14 verschiedene, vor allem auf Fisch ausgerichtete, besonders aromatische Vorspeisen. Jede ist wie ein kleines Kunstwerk hergerichtet und schmeckt vollständig unterschiedlich zu den jeweiligen Nachbarn. Als Hauptgericht entschieden wir uns für den Risotto d‘infusi d‘oriente, einen Risotto mit Sepia, der einfach nur als himmlisch bezeichnet werden kann. Bei den Nachspeisen testeten wir composts die Miele und pannacotta Vanilla, beide ebenfalls ganz ausgezeichnet. Die Weinkarte lässt keine Wünsche über italienische Weine offen, vor allem regionale Weine aus dem Venus stark präsent. Insgesamt ein absolutes Vergnügen, wunderbare zarte Aromen und einfach ein richtig gemütlicher Ort zum Essen
