Very normal place. You can eat both outside in the garden and inside. The food is decent.

My uncle and I had a plate of tortelloni with ragù for our first course, followed by lamb ribs with a side of French fries. We finished with a coffee, and were also offered a lemon liqueur and more. Bottom line: home cooking, excellent ingredients, perfectly cooked meat, and delicious fries. My uncle and I had a delicious meal. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at this restaurant. Kudos to the management. They have clear ideas and make everyone who dines there feel good. A 10. Keep up the good work.

A homey, family-friendly atmosphere and traditional Emilian dishes. There are also large outdoor tables. During a dinner with local friends and family, I particularly enjoyed friggione, a typical Bolognese dish dating back to the late 1800s, whose recipe has even been registered by the Italian Academy of Cuisine in Bologna. It's essentially a tomato and onion side dish, very spicy and flavorful, typically served with boiled meat and roasts.

I've been frequenting this restaurant since I was a child, when I went to the spa, and I can say that the place has remained virtually unchanged since then. It's located next to a river lock, a romantic and pleasant setting, surrounded by nature. Wheelchair access is also available. For many years, I've come here primarily for the mutton, and this time, too, it lived up to expectations: well-cooked, generous portions, and a relatively low price for what's served. The service is quite friendly and fast. The atmosphere is rustic and very reminiscent of the typical homes of the area from times gone by. I consider the prices fair: not low, but still acceptable. The location is a bit outside the city center, and you'll need a car to get there from Bologna, as public transportation isn't great. We booked, didn't encounter any waits, and card payment was possible without any problems. The only negative note: the dining room is very noisy. When it gets crowded, you have to raise your voice to speak, which detracts somewhat from the pleasure of dining.

A classic restaurant for upscale dining and large groups. The dishes are simple but average, good but nothing exceptional. The service wasn't the most attentive or prompt. I wouldn't recommend it to those who prefer quiet, moderate dining.

A historic restaurant in Castel San Pietro, perched above the Sillaro River, takes its name from a dam that brings water to the Bologna lowlands. It's the perfect summer spot, where you can dine al fresco among centuries-old trees and enjoy the refreshing coolness. The pizza is good, and everything is generally good; the fried crescentine and friggione (a Bolognese sauce made with tomato and onion) are highly recommended. Service isn't fast, so take it easy.
