I often come to visit a friend in Poggio Catino who knows that the first day we meet this restaurant is a fixed, unmissable event. The meats are excellent and excellently prepared. Every time I feel happy and grateful to eat in such a place. Over time I have tried all the starters which are excellent value. The meats and offal are a real delight for the palate. The staff is kind. There are no parking problems. Chapeau

We went on a 100km bike ride and stopped for two sandwiches which turned out to be two huge sandwiches at a really fair price… amazing. We will be back

Un'osteria un po' sotto la media. Non la sconsiglio, ma neanche ci tornerò. La qualità della carne è molto buona, il resto non è granché, partendo dalla varietà dei primi arrivando ai contorni. Vivamente sconsigliato solo il vino della casa.

12/07/2024: We went for a wedding in this magical place surrounded by nature. Finally a wedding in an informal but still elegant location of its kind and well organized both in terms of space and service. A magical panorama accompanied every phase of the event, very good food without exaggeration and without the typical ostentation of a wedding, a really nice surprise!
08/07/2024: We moved and had our reception at U'Scertu. A special place that entered straight into our hearts not only for the goodness of the cuisine and the crazy place, but above all for the kindness and courtesy of all the staff. Splendid people of great generosity and hospitality. Fair costs and superlative cuisine, perfect for families or hikers who need a break.

15/11/2024: When you leave late and you remember that on Salaria there is a family-run restaurant where you haven't been back in a long time. And you will find that in the meantime they have created a comfortable and silent car park where you can sleep in a camper in complete tranquility. And that Mrs. Mimma was practically waiting for you, only you, in her house: the door is closed, but the keys are on it, you knock and she welcomes you with the stove on, sets the table for you, brings you the red of the mayor's house and water. And then he cooks fettuccine alla gricia for two just for you 😮 and then sits next to you, discreetly but with the desire to chat, even about the problems of these very small towns (here in Steccato in winter there are 10 souls). Overall, a beautiful evening. And come and eat here before it closes!
22/10/2024: High quality food. Very clear km0. Unbeatable portions. The atmosphere is a little bare, but genuinely rustic. Mrs. Mimma is very nice
