Excellent, well-prepared, high-quality food! Delicious cold cuts and cheeses, and fantastic first courses! Delicate and flavorful gnudi (ricotta and spinach gnocchi), delicious tortellini stuffed with wild boar ragù!
Truly delicious homemade desserts!
But above all, the thousands of smiles from the ladies both at the table and at the counter! Truly kind and sweet!
Charming location! Small trattoria with a fireplace.

Lunch with friends for 10!
The cold cuts from the appetizer were fabulous. Then we had the potato tortelli with both tomato sauce and duck, and they were delicious. But I couldn't resist the gnudi with butter and sage, which were simply divine.

I'd say excellent first and second courses. Tortelli with both tomato sauce and mushrooms were spectacular. The stuffed rabbit and pork loin with onion were delicious. Desserts were a must. Tuscany always shines at the table. The price is reasonable. Considering that in Florence a pizza, beer, and dessert are a little less, here you get a full meal for €30.

We arrived in Vicchio too late to find anywhere which could feed us on a Sunday lunchtime. It was blazing hot, we were properly hungry and were advised to walk for 20 minutes to La Casa Prosciutto. We so nearly didn't bother in favour of going to the nearest Supermarket for a disappointing picnic. I'm so glad we did - a true nugget of gastronomic gold run by completely brilliant people. You will have to wait, you will have to queue, you will have to brave the crowds assembled but you will get top notch food and an atmosphere that you will remember. Really worth the wait!
