We loved this place so much that we returned twice during our stay in Rome. The atmosphere and especially the cuisine make this restaurant a must! The pasta is delicious! The artichoke as a starter, a pure treat. Homemade Tiramisu, so good! Thank you for your welcome

Authentic atmosphere. Well known among tourists. There was no house wine. The Roman artichoke was tough. The pasta carbonara was excellent. So was the tiramisu. The price is not cheap compared to other trattorias of the same level.

The thing we liked most was the service, with the owner being very friendly and hospitable for a place in the centre. As Romans, the first ones disappointed us a bit, we had better expectations. On the cacio e pepe we needed a little more pepper and on the bacon and artichokes, more bacon and less water. Prices a little touristy.

Honestly - didn’t know what to expect going in. Like a lot of places they are a bit short especially when it’s packed but it was worth going to. Very sweet staff. We shared the carbonara and the maccheroni and agree it is probably the best or tied for best that we had in Rome

Fuimos porque nos lo recomendo un amigo que es Italiano. Esta en una plaza y tiene terraza. Con las chimeneas no se estaba mal en la terraza pero muy cerca estaba lleno de badura, cajas etc de un mercado que tiene la plaza y le quitaba jn poco de encanto. Era sabado, no se si el mercado estara todos los dias. Dentro hacia calof h llia mucho a queso. La comida buena, pedimos carbonata y carne. Todo rico. Lo que vi caro fue las copas de vino, 7 euros cada una.

02/01/2025: Desayuna uno de los mejores lugares que hemos comido en Roma. El servicio es muy amable y te recuerdan. Hemos comido aquí 3 veces. Super limpio, cocina abierta, cómodo en el lado y el lado exterior. Los 2 chefs son agradables y se enorgullecen mucho de su comida. Las porciones son perfectas, no demasiado, pero no demasiado. Incluso tenemos una pizza en el camino a casa para un aperitivo. Aquí es donde los lugareños comen. Es la Roma real. Buena comida del corazón.

Vecchia Roma

05/04/2025: We went to dinner at "La Vecchia Roma" on our last night in Rome. And it was the best choice possible! The fact that most of the guests are Italian already shows you that it's authentic Italian food at a very affordable price. As if that weren't enough, the waiters are friendly and kind, and the place is decorated with football posters, memorabilia, and souvenirs from wonderful Rome. I highly recommend it!
