A small restaurant in Chiavari. Small, intimate, somewhere between refined and traditional. Excellent dishes. Fast service. Courtesy. Expertise and kindness. Hand-written wine list with a wide selection of local wines. Worth remembering. Worth returning.

Last night I dined at this little restaurant in Chiavari with two friends and it was a truly pleasant experience. We were greeted warmly, thanks in large part to the owner, who was friendly and helpful. We chatted and she was very kind to us. The food is excellent, with carefully prepared dishes and fresh ingredients. A place that exudes passion and customer service: I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

We had family dinner at this restaurant on Friday evening, and I must say I was truly amazed by the taste and combinations of the dishes offered. The place is small, but the attention to detail and care is evident throughout. The owner is truly kind and attentive; you can tell she loves her job and her customers. Go, you won't be disappointed! Excellent!

The place has a less touristy feel, and is actually very quiet. The food is excellent, and the price is accordingly. The service is excellent: friendly, professional, and not overly obsequious. I'm from Genoa, and I haven't had such good trofie al pesto in I don't know how long. The wine list is good. You can sense a certain passion, an attention to detail, and a non-invasive approach to the customer. In short, a place that gets top marks.

I have to say... I felt right at home! In terms of hospitality... About the food: I wish I could cook like this! Everything was delicious! From the appetizers to the homemade desserts... Well done Michela! It was a real pleasure meeting you!!!

24/09/2025: A lucky stop and we found this excellent pizzeria that also serves food. The pizza crust is exceptional and melts in your mouth. The fried foods are all tasty and dry, served on the typical Genoese menu. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly. We'll definitely be back, but we'll take a bit longer. Highly recommended!!
22/09/2025: I went there wanting to eat a 100% Italian pizza, and they exceeded my expectations. The owner and the entire team were very welcoming. I'll be back when I can. Thank you very much.

Grand Hotel Savoia

04/12/2025: Nice hotel — but a baffling and frustrating experience at the front desk. At check-in, we were greeted not with a welcome, but with a banner about a “gratitude payment” — essentially a voluntary tip scheme. Since we were only staying one night and had no meaningful interaction with staff, I called to opt out. I was told they would “check my bill” to make sure it was removed. Next morning? Still there. I was already on a business call while my family tried to check out, and instead of handling it smoothly, the staff insisted payment had to be made with a physical card. Out of patience, I tapped my phone — and it worked instantly. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. For a hotel claiming five stars, this felt more like amateur hour. Good service isn’t about surprise “gratitude fees” — it’s about communication, competence, and knowing when to get out of the way so guests can enjoy their stay — and actually get on with their planned journey without unnecessary friction. Edit: funny answer - did they even READ my post? I did call them the day before and it was still on the invoice.
01/12/2025: Beautifully decorated and clean hotel. Great breakfast and location. Unfortunately, the management falls short on customer service. We were “upgraded” to this hotel immediately after booking the neighbouring hotel, which we selected specifically for its spa. Nowhere was it communicated that the spa was unavailable at either hotels - from the time of booking right up until check in. At check in, the staff did not offer any compensatory or complimentary services to make up for this lack of critical communication.
