An evening to be repeated. Excellent in every way.

I've been to dozens of all-inclusive places, and a dozen or so privately. It's always better your way (privately). I ate the best food of my life at this restaurant, the service was brilliant and competent. I'm still here and thinking about how to return. I RECOMMEND IT. I'm waiting for the hate, but after the food.

I ate at this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night I ate at the restaurant, and I didn't really like the first course I ate. I found the pasta a bit disconnected from the sauce. The second night I had a pizza, and it was very good. The service was good.

Just steps from the splendid beach of the Mongiove Caves, La Capannina is a restaurant that combines the authenticity of traditional Sicilian cuisine with the freshness of local seafood. The location is truly picturesque: immersed in a unique natural setting, you can enjoy the sea breeze and a relaxing atmosphere that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The menu focuses primarily on fish, and the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparation are evident from the first courses. We sampled several specialties and were impressed by the quality and lightness of the dishes. The fried fish was impeccable: perfectly crispy, dry and not greasy, with the freshest calamari and shrimp retaining their authentic flavor. A dish that often seems heavy or covered in oil elsewhere, here stands out for its balance and digestibility. The peppered mussels were another very pleasant surprise: plentiful, fragrant, and flavorful without ever being overpowering. The mussels were fresh, well-cleaned, and bathed in a sauce so delicious it was impossible not to accompany it with warm bread. A simple dish in concept, but when cooked well, it becomes a true triumph of flavor. We also greatly appreciated the service: the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive, making recommendations without ever being intrusive. The passion and professionalism of those who work here is evident, and this contributes to a family-friendly yet refined atmosphere. The quality-price ratio is absolutely excellent: generous portions, extremely fresh fish, and preparations that respect Mediterranean tradition, without unnecessary pretension. Considering the location and overall quality, we can say that the experience was excellent and has left us wanting to return.

A delicious restaurant where you can enjoy a great seafood meal😋. We had reservations for the same day, and despite the large crowd, they still squeezed us in. Perhaps the only flaw is the somewhat young staff who initially snubs you a bit, but that's okay; experienced staff will make you appreciate your choice. A great experience in Mongiove

Ottima tagliata di carne, prezzi nella media. Ci torneremo sicuramente, locale accogliente, tempi di attesa un po lunghi.

Sono tornato alla capannina dopo qualche anno perché l’ultima volta ero rimasto parecchio deluso della qualità e della cucina. Oggi però devo ricredermi e sicuramente quest’anno ci tornerò più volte. La cortesia dello staff no è mai stata in discussione ma è stato veramente piacevole cenare come anni addietro. Porzioni abbondanti e cucinati davvero bene. Complimenti allo chef ed alla gestione.
