La Capannina In Catania

Wow! One of the best pizzas I've ever had! And the steak was excellent. The beer was good, what can I say, it was top notch. The staff was also very friendly and tried to answer my questions even though it was a bit slow and overwhelmed by the number of customers. Ambience ok, many customers, noise, but it was good. If I ever come back to Catania I will definitely stop by here again.

Pizza superlativa, ottimo servizio da parte del personale di sala. Unico Neo, la proprietaria che viene a lamentarsi a fine serata, quanto stavamo per chiedere il conto, del cagnolino rimasto tutto il tempo sotto il tavolo, che ogni tanto si faceva sentire. Peccato avete perso dei clienti !

The place is very central, discreet and clean. It is a fairly rustic place. Pizza served on paper placemats, a bit crowded environment. The pizza was well topped, but the dough was rubbery. Average draft beer (6 euros) badly poured and served in a glass that was too small in my opinion (about 30 cl). The price of the pizzas is lower than the average of similar places. Overall experience a bit subdued. There were problems with bad smells resulting from some problems with the toilets and reading the reviews I notice that it was not the only time, I hope they intervene in a decisive way to the annoying problem. It is not a bad place, but it did not thrill me.

A good pizza, made in the old Catania way, without the usual “contemporary with leavening since prehistoric times” type bullshit Excellent service from the Sala team who, with the place packed and full of people, maintained a regular, punctual and fast service. The minute wait on Saturday with the room full is more than understandable.

In a world of pizzas passed off as fake Neapolitan with more crust than topping, a noteworthy pizza in Catania with a good dough and good toppings. Too bad for the cheesecake not worthy of note.

Pizza eccellente, abbiamo preso 4 pizze realizzati con farina Perciasacchi, leggerissime, ben condite cotte e lievitate alla perfezione. Un po' di attenzione in più la metterei nel fritto misto, un po' poco misto. Personale di sala Gentilissimo ed attento ad ogni esigenza del cliente.
