Beautiful location, the restaurant is under the Canonica of the Chiesa Matrice di San Nicola. Classic and tasty food from the once poor Santagatese cuisine. Excellent service. Thanks to Mrs. Rosaria and her husband 👏

A restaurant recommended by a friend that I must certainly thank. The place is not very large (in fact it is better to book), but very welcoming. The food was really good and well plated too. Even though I didn't take the appetizer I saw that it is very important. Anyone who goes to this place will definitely leave very satisfied. Lastly, the kindness of the staff and the price which will surprise you in relation to the quality.

An enchanting place, hidden in the streets of a small town in the province of Foggia, I go there on important holidays, and every time it is a pleasure to taste their delicious, traditional dishes prepared with passion and great professionalism... not to mention the homemade desserts, simple but excellent... compliments to the chefs who welcome with
kindness and courtesy of the customers in their small but beautiful location that I recommend anyone to go there..

A place in stone, at the entrance one could say the historic center of S.Agata di Puglia, a small village perched on the Dauni mountains and perhaps the one with the most extensive view of the territory and the surrounding hills. The Canonica della Canonica is managed by a gentleman who I was able to meet at the end of my lunch, a formidable chef who rightly boasts of the delicacies he prepares and with good reason. Because you see, in this place you eat 'ancient flavours': the appetizers are those that grandmothers typically prepared many years ago, based on preserves or cooked and/or pickled vegetables; the grilled meat has the taste of the past, it is not commercial; the place then, built in an ancient space of stone walls, with tables also arranged in 'niches' on the sides of the central hall. In the end the tables are numbered, it is not a place for large groups, but it seems like a place for romantics, travellers, small families eager to eat not well. Very good. Yes, I should also add that I paid just €20 for my lunch and I ate a lot. I understand why places like this are very visited, appreciated and known even outside the country. All thanks to the food, the place, the quality and the courtesy of those who manage the kitchen and those who serve at the tables. My most sincere compliments.
