The cuisine is fantastic, delicious, fresh, and interesting. The rack of lamb is superb; the tagliata is superb; the panna cotta is the best I've ever tried; you'll really enjoy it!

I have never written a review before, but Francesco deserves an honorable mention. A couple months ago (yes, I'm a bit late) my wife and I were caught in a torrential downpour in Catania. Rain hadn't been predicted, so (being the nice guy I am) gave my jacket to my wife. Our hotel had suggested Uzeta. Although it wasn't the closest place to seek shelter from the rain and have dinner, I bought an umbrella (for 3 euro from a street vendor). To make a long story short (waiting on hold for 1/2 for a taxi only to be told none were available, etc..). We finally made it to Uzeta. Francesco couldn't have been a sweeter, kinder and hospitable host if he had tried. I was soaking wet, and he said there was a hair dryer in the women's bathroom. It was taking too long to dry my shirt, so Francesco gave me a staff shirt. I know, I should be telling you about the food, but I'll get to that. Honestly, how many places would be so welcoming to give you the shirt of his/her back? Francesco, I can't thank you enough! Everything we had ordered was presented beautifully, but more importantly, was delicious. Francesco was even kind enough to bring us a bottle of "reserved" oil that was pure heaven. Also, he gave us a min wine tasting experience that made it clear what "minerale" means in Sicilian wines. The "Arancino" was much more enjoyable than the typical ones found everywhere, and the stuffed anchovies were to die for. We had been exploring the east coast of Sicilia, and had eaten Tuna with caramelized red onions on numerous occasions (I guess it's a crowd favorite), but Uzeta's version was superior. Francesco also spoke English extremely well. Every restaurant nowadays seems to want to charge a fortune for food/service that doesn't deserve it. Uzeta offers high quality food and service at a price that would cost double in most big cities.

Quality dishes, local Sicilian flavors elegantly reinterpreted. Excellent wine, attentive and professional service, a relaxing atmosphere, and a truly beautiful venue. The exceptional customer service is striking. Highly recommended for those who want to experience authentic Sicilian cuisine without sacrificing style and sophistication.

Food is good but some staff have a rigid approach towards customers. I'm not saying they are abrupt or unfriendly but they lack that sweet approach. Pasta was served without presenting grated cheese and when asked for it took long to arrive as had almost finished the plate.

Fantastic restaurant! Delicious food, top-notch in terms of flavor. The host is attentive, and the service is very friendly. A lovely, relaxed atmosphere. A must-visit in the center of Catania for anyone who loves good food.

Overall, it's not bad, but everything is very strange. The food is definitely not worth the money. The portions are small, pasta alone won't fill you up, and the extra arincini won't cut it either. So it's better to order 3-4 courses. I was surprised by the bread service; they brought it and threw it on the table in a paper bag after we'd already eaten everything. Why?

Truly the best place, highly recommended. Excellent food and wonderful hospitality. I'll gladly return.

Discovered completely by accident. Really pleasant atmosphere, very good food, super staff. I'll definitely be back to try the donkey meatballs that were sold out!
