I don't like to exaggerate in reviews and I rarely give my all in all areas, but in this case the place deserves it. I had lunch in this place on Saturday 18/1. The chef and owner has a passion and enthusiasm that he manages to pour entirely into his work. He has been managing this place for 25 years and the fact that he chose to open this restaurant in a small village of 600 inhabitants, which is not particularly touristy as it is located about ten km from Lake Bolsena, demonstrates his love for catering. So 1) FOOD: I ate a first course of tonnarelli with onion cream, toasted breadcrumbs and truly delicious burrata, excellent in cooking, creamy, flavourful. Well cooked mixed grill composed of fresh, local meats. Side dishes: baked potatoes and pan-fried broccoli; everything is good, including the potatoes which in their apparent simplicity are not at all simple to cook and in fact very often they are not very crunchy or undercooked inside or they simply seem to have been boiled and sautéed a little in the pan. But not these. Finally a delicious dessert, a warm soft tart with fresh berry jam: the temperature contrast made the difference. Really great price for the quality and quantity. 2) SERVICE: Very pleasant, we were served by the same chef who unfortunately was alone due to a problem with his uncle who collaborates with him; it's true that there were only three of us in total (Saturday for lunch, a cold day and out of season) however the service was truly convivial and I, the chef and the other two diners immediately became close. Grilled cuisine, everything done absolutely at the moment. 3) ENVIRONMENT: I have already said what the environment was like, but I must add that the location is truly suggestive: a 1200s cellar entirely brought back to its origins and which therefore really makes it seem like you are going back in time. However in summer there is a veranda outside. The owner explained to us that approximately half of the products he uses are of his own production, the rest is practically 0 km or almost, everything is purchased fresh and in fact the menu varies continuously as it adapts to the fresh products that are available in day by suppliers. A sign of great attention to quality. In short, I left completely satisfied, it's a shame that I'm a bit far from the place, but I'll be back with my friends. Unfortunately, as often happens to me, busy with conversation and eating, I forgot to take photos. I apologize for the length, but I want to make reviews that are not only sincere but also exhaustive and detailed because just as I look for clear and reliable reviews I want to do my best to help others

Very characteristic place, with particular dishes, always different.
Organic km0 vegetables and the embers always lit to prepare something succulent, if you choose.
The starters are also excellent.
Better to book in advance (using WhatsApp! ) as cell phones don't get much in that area.

We ended up here by chance and it was a wonderful surprise! Well-kept and very welcoming location, excellent food (including wine) and very high attention to customers (near us there was a table with some kids and, after ordering, the owner went to them to suggest removing some starters because perhaps they hadn't considered the portions... and he was right!).
The place is small and it was really nice to find us all chatting together... really recommended!

Characteristic and familiar place, just as the delicacies prepared by Riccardo and the spontaneity of everyone in the room are familiar and characteristic. Spectacular prices. There were about thirty of us, all happy at the end of lunch.

Attracted by the positive reviews I booked in this rustic place, few places and it's fine
the quality of the food was quite good, but there was little choice of dishes, especially for the second courses, in practice there was only pork. Not so good value for money, a carafe of water, half a liter of house wine, two starters, three first courses, one second course, two side dishes for 93 euros, not a free gift

We came across it by mistake years ago, we went for the chestnut festival, but we had the wrong weekend! We opted for this restaurant, which offered an entire menu based on chestnuts which didn't make us regret the festival in the slightest... on the contrary, we still remember it with taste and pleasure!

Premetto che era Ferragosto, attenuante generica. Bella location per temperature miti, impossibile invece per la calura estiva e con un tavolo mal disposto al quale è stato comunque posto rimedio.
Lasagne da urlo e buonissimo antipasto.
Avrei gradito una grigliata un po’ più curata, ma era Ferragosto.
Ho pagato senza aver mai visto un menù ma il prezzo era in media (non economicissimo)
Gli vorrei dare una seconda possibilità

Abbiamo cenato in questo magico piccolo ristorante con vista panoramica sul verde circondario di Latera. Il locale si presenta semplice, quasi frugale ma accogliente.
Il menù , ci è stato detto, varia ogni giorno in base alla raccolta dei vegetali dell’azienda agricola del proprietario .
Abbiamo cenato con due ottimi primi piatti, contorni vari, bruschette, formaggi.
Eccezionali ,nella semplice potenza dei sapori , le lasagne al pesto. Bevuta una ottima bottiglia di bianco. Prezzo giusto. Necessita di prenotazione. Ci torneremo tra pochi giorni!
