La Cantina Ciociara In Roma

It wasn't a bad experience, although it was a little disappointing. The pasta Bolognese was just okay, and the rest of the dishes I tried were similar. The cacio e pepe and carbonara stood out a bit, but that was about it. The prices were quite good for the area, and it really wasn't bad, just disappointing. IMPORTANT INFO: There's no bathroom; they send you to a bar across the street whose bathroom is more or less okay.

Everything was perfect! The carbonara was excellent, as were the gricia and saltimbocca. The atmosphere and service were typical of a Roman osteria. All just steps from Piazza Navona.

We booked with the Folk and I had the carbonara, which was really good and plentiful. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended. We also had the fried flowers, which were delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive.

Yesterday, November 16, 2025, my family and I stopped in for lunch. Excellent food, a somewhat long wait, but that's to be expected; we enjoyed the meal. The staff was kind and helpful, and the gentleman (who's from Rome) was very friendly and approachable. The ashtray he placed outside so he wouldn't throw cigarette butts on the floor was legendary. Saved to my GPS, we'll be back if we have the chance.

This restaurant is one of my favorites in the world! I ate the best lasagna my taste buds have ever experienced here. I hope to return to Rome soon and eat here again. If you're ever in Rome, you absolutely must go to La Cantina Romana! 100% recommended!

Everything was excellent, the amatriciana was delicious, the carbonara was equally good, we also had fried courgette flowers, artichokes alla giudia, puntarelle, supplì... everything was truly excellent... the staff were typically Roman... highly recommended!!

A fantastic place in the tourist heart of Rome, but with truly authentic and extraordinary cuisine! We went there every day with friends for several days, and we were thrilled every time. We highly recommend the artichokes, both fried and baked—simply exceptional! The entire menu is a wonderful journey through local flavors, accompanied by an excellent selection of wines that pair perfectly with the dishes. But the real treasure of this restaurant is Alan, an extraordinary young waiter—full of energy, kindness, and passion for his work. From day one, he treated us like true guests, creating a wonderful atmosphere. We returned every day, largely thanks to him! It's one of those places you want to return to—and we definitely will!

We stopped there by chance. We had a very good meal. My partner had a very generous portion of lasagna, and I had the trio of bruschetta and two rice balls. It was excellent.
