Food was really good and fresh. Loved the open kitchen and watching Chef Francesco cooking all of the meals. Love the small cosy restaurant vibe. A must visit in Alberobello.

We were very happy to get a table at lunchtime, anywhere with a decent rating was full. Our food was tasty but the portion sizes were stingy considering the price.
We share an antipasto, the burratina was tiny as described, my pasta was good but again not filling. My husband’s pork was again tasty but the fried potatoes were overpriced.
The cover charge of €3.50 each for some very dry bread, which we didn’t eat was excessive.
We shared a large bottle of fizzy water, the espressos were €2 for a thimble of coffee.
La Cantina is a small restaurant and Alberobello is very touristy but €70 is steep, when you leave hungry.

The food was delicious, but it's absolutely worth it. The kitchen is open to the chef, who prepares everything for you as if it were your own home. On a negative note: the dairy trio didn't include the ones listed. They were still nice, but we didn't enjoy them because they didn't match the menu. This is an oversight that shouldn't exist in a restaurant.
Otherwise, it was truly excellent. I highly recommend it!
I forgot, it's a little pricey...

Alberobello is full of tourist traps, but La Cantina is not one of them. It is away from the main street and the breathtaking trulli. Here you sit in a small restaurant with an open kitchen, so you can closely watch your dishes being prepared. Really tasty salumi and pasta dishes with perfect bite. Exquisite tiramisu. The service is very friendly, but don't expect a quick lunch here. The staff takes their time with the guests.

A restaurant with soul. The chef prepares the food right in front of you. The ingredients were so fresh, the entire restaurant smelled wonderful. I highly recommend it! A pleasant, homey atmosphere, delicious food, and good prices.
