The La Canonica tavern is located in Lottulo next to the parish church. It is a very particular place, where the welcome is strange, but the food is good. The polenta is excellent. There's no need to be impressed. The place is beautiful and the food is good, if the owner is from 🌙

For us, every vacation always includes at least one visit here. A great place, very well maintained and lovingly designed. And excellent cuisine - every single course (and there are quite a few 😉) was tasty.

An incredible place with a magical atmosphere that never disappoints. Very honest prices for a feast of dishes, one better than the other, especially the desserts. Silvana is a force of nature and her sister is an artist in the kitchen. The French waitress who served us was also very nice. We'll be back!

A very special, well-kept and welcoming place where you can enjoy excellently prepared food with generous portions. The staff is very competent and kind. Silvana is a truly nice and pleasant person. The quality/price is good and it's worth going there, in fact I highly recommend it.

23/08/2024: Excellent dinner, exceptional first courses and cheeses
20/08/2024: Charming inn in one of the many wonderful villages of the Maira Valley. We slept in a room all to ourselves at the price of the dormitory. Clean and equipped shared bathroom. The dinners based on local dishes are excellent, as is the wine. Rich and abundant breakfast with yoghurt, dried and fresh fruit, homemade cakes and bread, butter and jams, also homemade, cheeses and cold cuts. Renato, Manuela and all the staff were very kind, their service was truly impeccable. Renato, an expert connoisseur of the places in the valley, gave us precious advice on the paths to follow. And our little dog was welcome. We had a really good time, thank you!

Il Verso del Ghiottone

21/06/2024: We have been coming regularly to the restaurant "Il Verso del Ghiottone" in Dogliani for almost 20 years and are thrilled every time. The seasonal menus interpret local specialties in a modern way and combine the highest culinary art with traditional craftsmanship. The family atmosphere, the wonderful art on the walls and the friendly team inspired us to celebrate our wedding party with 60 people in our favorite restaurant "Il Verso del Ghiottone" and it was simply perfect. After a reception in the garden, we had a delicious 5-course menu at long, white-covered tables in the restaurant. Everyone enjoyed the festival and we remember this great event with joy! Thank you very much! We would like to come again!
