It's been years since I've been to this restaurant...I must say I was pleasantly surprised to realize that the food is always very good!

The restaurant has friendly and efficient service. The prices are fair and the food is delicious! It's worth it!

Very italian place. Affordable, but not the most impressive food

The 500 years old restaurant in Rome. Especially, vongole was my favorite! Overall price was similar to other normal restorante. Highly recommend to experience traditional foods in Rome.

Authentic genuine Roman food in an old fashioned osteria. Not indicated for romantic dating but highly reccomended for the quality of the food.

If you're looking for a historic restaurant, it doesn't get much more historic than this. It's said that this restaurant has a history spanning over a century, dating back to 1518. What's certain is that the family that currently runs it has been doing so for over 100 years, and it shows, because history and tradition are exuded, and there's little (or no) room for innovation. Which you may or may not like, just be aware. Personally, I like it a lot. The Amatriciana was very good. The Carbonara was delicate, with a not-too-strong flavor—you may or may not like that, but I enjoyed it. The fried brains and artichokes were delicious, especially the brains, which reminded me of what my grandmother used to make, something that almost no one in Rome makes anymore. The puntarelle were very fresh, just a little lacking in garlic for my taste. The Mont Blanc was excellent. The house wine, bottled for €15, was absolutely satisfying. What else can I say? The prices are perhaps a little above average compared to other trattorias offering the same type of cuisine, but for good food in what is said to be the oldest restaurant in the world, I'd say it's reasonable. As for me, I'll gladly return.
