Excellent trattoria with authentic traditional Roman dishes. Everything was delicious. We had coda alla vaccinara, puntarelle, artichokes alla romana, the inevitable rigatoni alla carbonara and tonnarelli cacio e pepe. There are still so many things that I want to try next time 😊 I highly recommend it

So, what happened was that we initially planned to go to a popular restaurant recommended by foodie friends. However, the waiter there had a rather unfriendly attitude, and we didn’t feel like staying.
We wandered through the narrow streets of Rome for a while and stumbled upon la Campana - the best thing that could have happened to us!
A truly authentic, old-school Italian restaurant. We ordered fresh truffle pasta, tiramisu, and wine, and everything tasted absolutely amazing.
We got exactly the genuine Italian restaurant and food experience we were looking for!

The fried zucchini flowers were good, but the fried artichoke was absolutely splendid. A must-try! However, the space can feel quite cramped.

Place feels very authentic - a lot of locals eating there. However, staff was very unorganized and running around a lot. Air conditioning doesn’t exist so felt like overheating while waiting for our food.
Would still recommend it if in the neighborhood and looking for authentic italien food. Prices are the average Rome

Tipica trattoria romana frequentata non solo da turisti.
Piatti della tradizione abbondanti e saporiti.
Ottimi i carciofi e la carbonara, ci ha un po' deluso la cacio e pepe.

I had a great experience this evening. Enjoyed the food but was rushed by the chef. Food came out quickly between each course. Had a great piccolo of wine. I ordered zucchini flowers,then Lamb cuttlet then tiramisu. There is a salad buffet at entry of restaurant which I wasn't told you could help yourself. Not sure if if it was complimentary or extra. Never te less, I was very satisfied. The after dinner apartiff was very helpful and interesting flavours. $74 euro.

Della location ne parlo poco, perché ormai è scritto ovunque che è l'osteria più antica del mondo,mi vorrei soffermare sul menù,di un Romano che difficilmente troverete in giro...le animelle di agnello alla piastra e il cervello fritto con i carciofi difficilmente li troverete da altre parti...servizio perfetto e conto che per menù e storia è giustificato.
