Alessandra is an exceptional host, kind and welcoming. She loves her Liguria and promotes local products (olive oils, wines, and seafood). The place is welcoming and the cuisine excellent.

We'd been wanting to try La Buga for a while and finally called on a whim today to see if they had anything open for pranzo — got lucky with a last-minute spot and couldn't have been happier. The food was flat-out delicious from start to finish. They brought out complimentary bruschetta after we ordered, the baccalà antipasto was excellent, the main courses were spot on, and we made sure to save room for dessert — no regrets on any of it. Our server was warm and attentive the whole time despite a packed house — you could tell she genuinely enjoyed her job. Easily 5 stars and we're already talking about when we're coming back.

A nice little restaurant in Chiavari. You can tell the food is homemade. We went in early February (off-season, without a reservation). The aroma of good food wafts into the small dining room; the gentleman is in the kitchen and the lady is serving. We ate well: the quality-price ratio was okay (even very good)... BUT the quantity-price ratio was insufficient! Too expensive for half-empty plates. (We were hungry when we left). If the quantity-price ratio had been good, I would have given it 4 stars.

Very nice little restaurant, cozy and close to the sea. The dishes are delicious, the fish is really fresh and cooked to perfection. The owners are kind and professional. A place you don't stumble upon by chance, but it's definitely worth a visit! You'll be greeted with excellent, welcoming service throughout your meal. The dishes are traditional, but revisited with innovative, superior-quality ingredients. Recommended for both couples and groups of friends.

11/04/2026: Just spent 3 nights. Fabulous family-run hotel. A 2-minute walk to the beach. Very warm and inviting. Large, clean guest rooms with new, modern bathrooms. Food is excellent. No need to find other restaurants. The staff is high on hospitality, helpful and pleasant. Don't think about staying anywhere else in Maiori. I spent 3 nights here. A fabulous family-run hotel. Just a 2-minute walk from the beach. A very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Large, clean rooms with new, modern bathrooms. The food is excellent. No need to look for other restaurants. The staff is extremely hospitable, helpful, and kind. Don't even think about staying anywhere else in Maiori.
